    It’s getting really bad. You can look up the most mundane, everyday search term and there will be a distracting amount of fake images in the results.

    I look up a lot of reference images for art projects and so I have to skim over a lot of AI slop.

    I just did a couple of test searches and it didn’t work at all. Obvious AI images stayed in the results, and the ones that it removed when I selected “AI: hide” were obvious photos or human artwork.

    Hopefully they can improve their detection method and make it actually useful.

      It’s clearly WIP and currently it sucks. But I’m glad that they’re at least trying to address the problem. In the meantime Google is doing its usual “smear the content on the user’s snout until it swallows.”

    Am I the only one who misread the title to say that DDG was now hiding AI-generated images in your search results?

    As in, they’re sneaking them in?
