Ghost is a huge publishing platform, and a sizeable rival to Substack. By adopting ActivityPub, they are opening up to an entirely new audience, and harnessing the power of the Fediverse.
The idea to prompt people who want to subscribe to a publication with “enter your email or ActivityPub address” is great
Electronic Mail, then we got e-mail, now it’s just email. I wonder if calling ActivityPub something else would help with better recognition.
