The difference from my vintage gillette tech versus the Chieftan is night and day. This razor is quite aggressive and it’s funny that is according to amazon a great starter razor. No doubt, doing this for nearly a year already helped me get through with only a few minor knicks… This thing shaves close!!! and dangerous!!! lol I do really like the butterfly design for changing the blades out though. The razor feels heavy as compared to my gillette and the handle feels cheap since it is two pieces instead of a solid piece of metal.
