Whoever wrote this clearly knows nothing about guns.

A central theme to this article is military vs “hunting” rounds. Those are the same thing.

For example, 30-06 is one of if not the most popular hunting round. This is the same round that the the M1 garand uses: the service weapon for the united states army in WW2.

“In my opinion, the M-1 Rifle is the greatest battle implement ever devised.” ~Lieutenant George S. Patton

.338 which is the round being talked about here is in the exact same boat. Used for hunting and by militaries.

Even if you don’t know anything about guns, do they have no common sense? If a round can get through the giant hide and thick skulls of bears, elk, moose, etc, of course it will decimate humans in war. Another reason why people that want to ban “assault” weapons but allow hunting weapons are just showing their ignorance around firearms.

Yeah, seems like there’s an arms dealer getting western made ammo into Russia. There are already sanctions prohibiting sales to Russia. I’m sure Hornady is pissed with the implication and bad PR. If there’s a group buying a few 1000 rnds at a time, I don’t think they’ll catch it. It’s like the psuedoephdrine used to make meth. They passed a law where you had to sign for 2 packs of meds containing psuedoephedrine to limit ppl buying in bulk to make meth, but all it did was make the drug makers get the addicts to go around town buying up to the limit at each pharmacy.
