9·2 days agoMy favorite “oops” story… Guy went camping and wanted to keep the food in the cooler REALLY cold so he used dry ice instead of ice.
Accidentally created carbonated grapes. People have duplicated the effect with home soda machines.

32·7 days agoLooks like the haptics connector bracket on the right button board according to iFixit:

"Exercise caution when lifting this connector—pry up on the connector itself, not its housing.
Use the pointed end of a spudger to lift up on the haptics cable to disconnect it.
Alternatively, you can leave the haptics connected to the button board and flip the board up and over the edge of the shell and out of the way."
Lots of comments along the lines of:
“Please remove this step. It is virtually impossible to remove this without breaking the housing and it’s ultimately not necessary.”
Looks like replacing the board as a whole is around $141.
Not surprising they failed to break the blockade, it IS surprising they didn’t even make it 1/2 way through Libya. I mean, if they made it to Egypt and couldn’t crack the Gazan border, that would be one thing, at least they could say “an attempt was made!” But to not even make it TO Egypt?

Yeah, the Afghani government, or I should say “government” folded up so fast it’s hard to remember the timeline. It may be we made the promise to the non-Taliban government which had the half-life of francium. (Yes, I looked that up.)
We don’t need all the news from a single perspective. Multiple users need to be able to contribute too.
If the community is a wall of posts from the same user, others may feel like they can’t contribute.
