Last time I was shopping for a bike I really wanted to pick up a lovely Suzuki DR650 supermoto that I’d been drooling over for months. Chickened and went for a ‘practical’ injected bike instead, but that beast still haunts me. A single carburetor, how much trouble could it have been?

I’ve got a 1980 Honda XR500, basically Honda’s equivalent of the DR. It fires right up with two or three kicks, no matter how long it sits.
