Hapur News: GRAP implemented from today, fine will be imposed for spreading pollution Hapur. With the change in weather, the level of pollution in the environment has started increasing. The effect of fog has started becoming visible along with pink cold in the morning and night. The AQI level has increased by 135 points in the last 10 days. However, the pollution department has already started preparations to ensure that pollution does not increase. In such a situation, grape restrictions have been implemented in the NCR region including Hapur from October 1.

The atmosphere has remained pleasant due to the rains in the last few days. Talking about the level of pollution, the situation has improved at present and compared to last year, this time its situation has been much better. AQI has remained below 100 in the last one month. But since last ten days, due to increase in cold in the morning and evening, the weather has started changing, which will increase rapidly in the coming days. Currently the night temperature is 26 degrees, While the day is still hot and the temperature is 33 degrees. But in the next fifteen days, both the temperatures will decline. In such a situation the level of pollution will increase.

Action will be taken under GRAP in the district–

Hapur will take action from October 1 under the AQI Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) and National Green Tribunal (NGT) rules. Other rules of NGT will also be strictly followed. Under this, the municipality can charge a fine of up to Rs 25,000 for burning garbage in the open. Apart from this, action will also be taken against dumping building material in the open and blowing dust.

Assistant Engineer of Pollution Department, Vipul Kumar said that at present, exemption has been given to run the generator till December 31. But now entrepreneurs will have to convert the generator into dual fuel mode. Only after this the generator can be started. At present the pollution level remains normal. But efforts have been started to stop it from increasing.

These restrictions will remain–

• Covering rules will be strictly enforced.

• Roads will be cleaned every day. Whereas, water sprinkling will be done every other day.

• Coal or tandoor will not be used in hotels or restaurants.

• Instructions will be implemented regarding the management of dust and debris emanating from construction.

There will be a ban on burning garbage in the open. A fine will be charged for doing so.

• Traffic police will be deployed where there is heavy traffic.

Entrepreneurs protested -

Indian Industries Association has opposed the instructions issued by the Air Quality Management Commission. IIA Chapter President Shantanu Singhal says that the biggest problem faced by the industries is to convert their diesel generators to dual fuel mode as per CAQM directive, For which the cost will range from Rs 7 lakh to Rs 20 lakh. Which is not possible to be borne by small scale industries. In these circumstances, Pollution Control Board officials issue orders to close the industries. He said that IIA National President Neeraj Singhal has requested the Uttar Pradesh government to solve this problem.

Permission to use biodiesel-

IIA has also sought to allow the use of biodiesel in place of diesel in diesel generators. Because biodiesel is a clean fuel which is being used in many countries of the world.
