An occasional source of mild Thanksgiving tension in my family is that my mother is a die-hard fan of The Core (2003), and various family members sometimes have differing levels of enthusiasm for her annual tradition of watching it.
My go to method is, if someone brings up a political topic, I will very obviously try to change the topic. Otherwise I don’t engage.
What arguments would people even have about Rise of Skywalker? How bad it actually is? Do those that think it’s utter shit get frothy at the mouth if somebody says they thought it was just “kinda bad”?
I mean, true. Bug that isn’t because we all agree politically. I just avoid those discussions like the plague most of the time.
You should see my family talk… everyone thinks we’re arguing, we’re just discussing 😂.
Cops have been called when me and my dad were debating in the shed.
Lol 😂, hasn’t happened yet, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it did 😂.
Rise of Skywalker is an above average movie. Fight me!
Because the average movie is bad?
I really enjoyed it. Much more than Last Jedi.
I would like to meet Aunt Katie.
Oh come on, The Core is a classic!
Rise Of Skywalker is not a good movie over all but it does have one of the truly great stupid space opera moments, in a cavalry charge across the outer hull of a space ship - it’s up there with that bit in Thor Ragnarok where he jumps out of one spaceship onto another in order to punch it!
