I’d been reporting the filthy fucker for over a week as had other people and nothing happened so I reported it directly to spez.

He banned me for harassment.

The CP seller still wasn’t removed.

Tbf im not sure what I expected from someone that looks like a ventriloquist dummy that came to life so it could become a sex offender.

High level moderation in Reddit is a joke. Denouncing the fact that a powermod was power-tripping (Merari01 specifically) could easily result in your messages getting removed or even getting banned for “harassment”, even when the mod themself was nowhere near close. r/worldnews was going down the shitter in recent times too, to the point that denouncing hate speech against palestinians would result in nothing. On top of this, every single time I reported someone for ableism, I received a message saying that the comment didn’t break Reddit’s ToS.

Oh I did, I filed a tip with the center for missing and exploited children too, nothing ever came of it AFAIK.

The tiny unmodded nsfw sub’s on reddit are infested with that filth. I even sent admin proof of a sub where women sell videos of themselves fucking dogs and its used by Pedos to network. 3 day ban for harassment. The sub r/knotty, pretends to only be for dog sex toys but an anti predator group tracked the person that runs it to a bunch of bestially sites and it said in their various bios that’s what the site was for and to contact them with “business enquiries”

proof you don’t need decentralization to host that kinda stuff.

I used to be a freenet user and oh boy. but most blamed the decentralization rather than the people themselves.

in all though I think admin might actually be betting on those communities because there is a strong demand and a steady supply, good stuff for reddit’s sustenance, and if kept far enough away for good plausible deniability, they’d prolly like to keep it that way. Its a damn shame that admin had a reaction of anything other than reporting and takedown.
