    They are owned not by Qatar but effectively by UAE. Or, let’s say, the current deputy prime minister and vice president of UAE is the de facto owner.

    You are right though in that the ownership structure is shady as shit, and the well documented FFP failings have serious weight behind them, even if the club manage to weasel out of serious punishment.
