I turned 41 today, and thought I would post about the difference a year can make. I started lifting at the end of January 2022 after losing a bunch of weight from a depression diet. I got inspired seeing some of the people in this sub, and have stuck with it and gone from sedentary and having never picked up weights to being pretty competent. The pic on the left was today, my first workout at 41, and the pic on the right was a year ago…a few months after I first started.
I’m still learning, but have fallen in love with weight lifting and it has helped me through a really rough year. One of the things that really kept me going was the enjoyment I got out of buying new Lululemon pieces to work out in. I wanted to send a big hug and thank you to all the awesome people in this sub. I would likely be in a very different place right now if it wasn’t for some of the supportive friends I made along the way; seeing how hard you work has made me work harder too. ❤️
I’m 6’2”, wearing metal vent tech 2.0 size large shirts in both. Blue shorts are city sweat 9”, pin drop camp. Orange shorts are pace breaker 9”. MVT is starting to feel kinda small, might have to try sizing up soon. 😅
