X terms of service has right to take back username. X ported his followers over to new account at least, he said. Vaught is still using X, though he did set up account on Threads and Mastodon.

I’m just saying all the things you listed don’t matter in the long run. Unless you can specifically name the people you follow or follow you and all the other things you mentioned, its not important and can be easily replaced.
Yeah I’m sorry but that’s just not true. Mastodon has 7 million users and Twitter has 400 million. It took me a literal decade to build the following I now have on twitter. That’s not easy to replace and frankly I don’t even see why I should.
You yourself just said that almost all the people you follow and almost all the people who follow you on Twitter are also on Mastodon. That being true, there’s no difference if you want to use federated services instead. But you should hike your own hike. If Twitter is your jam, enjoy it.
I absolutely have not said that
EDIT: apparently I did say that. Don’t know why but I fixed it now
It happens. If nothing else, we understand why you want to stay active on both services.
Honest question: Have you thought about what to do when Elon notices your corner of Twitter (or when it finally collapses and is shut down)?
If he bans adult content or something then I just move elsewhere. Now I just mute everything unrelated in my feed and mark as “not intereste” for all irrelevant suggestions. So far it seems to work well enough
Nice. I hope it continues.
Hey man, if that’s what’s you think is important.
You’ll see.
What are you arguing for exactly? Because if it’s that social media is not important then I 100% agree with you but what does that have to do with leaving Twitter for Mastodon?
