Today’s game is Zomboid. I took a break from Alan Wake to play with a friend, and we continued the story of Cable And Jerry.
We went and hunted down a gas can today, but had to hike back after i crashed the car into a wreck. After a close encounter in an office building with a room full of zombies, we ended up splitting off after we got surrounded and my friend was hauling supplies. So i made a path through the horde with my pickaxe, and fought them off while my friend made an escape with all our stuff. I ended getting out too and led them too a house. While they funneled in, i shut the door and used the extra time to escape.
Once we got back to our house, we ended up going down the road the other way to look for gas to scavenge for the (non crashed) car and generator, and we ended up finding a gated community by a pond.
After investigating the mystery of the house with all the windows on the left side broken, We ended up moving there. I spent most of them time chopping trees, turning them into planks, and boarding up the windows. There’s no zombies out there but it’s better to be safe than sorry, plus it gets my carpentry skill up.
I made a spear and started fishing too. I only caught 3 fish, but i was very proud and cooked them. The screenshot is of two of the fish, a Catfish and a Crappie.
I daydream of Zomboid every week :) I just want to get out there and SURVIVE, man!
it’s a lot of fun. It has a really good formula that makes being repetitive work in it’s favor i feel like, because you’re constantly kept on edge to not break that pattern
Keep going. I’m not done having adventures.
Love this game, I’ve put a few hundred hours in myself. Build 42 can’t come out fast enough!
i’m excited for Build 42. Having animals will be really nice for making the world feel fuller. Sometimes, at least in my opinion, it’s painfully obvious when it’s just you, a few other players, and the zombies
This and surroundead are two of my favorite zombie games.
this is the first i’m hearing about SurrounDead. I just looked it up, i’ll have to pick it up at some point, especially with multiplayer coming at some point apparently
It goes on sale pretty regularly, and the dev is super active over at the subreddit, and will answer questions anyone has almost daily. %100 worth the pickup.
I love Zomboid. I probably have too many mods, though. I played for a while just the other night and added a couple more mods, then I had invisible cars all over the place.
me and my friend on this save have stripped all our mods, and we add them as we need them. Right now we only have the only cure
