Deputies said said Collins was traveling on a 2004 Suzuki GSX-R600K motorcycle when, at the same time, an adult female was traveling the opposite direction in a 2002 Chevrolet Suburban SUV.

“At some point, the Chevrolet driver proceeded to turn left to travel south onto Northwest 33rd Avenue. As the car crossed the eastbound lanes, the motorcycle struck the rear passenger side of the SUV. The impact caused the motorcyclist to enter the rear passenger side window of the Chevrolet and come to a final rest inside the car. The collision also caused the Chevrolet to rotate clockwise before finally resting,” investigators said.

Sounds like a typical SMIDSY - also known as failure to yield. May the rider RIP.

News media rarely frame such crashes as what they are.

Thats a nice inclusion of details that lead assumptions of the cyclists speed tossed in there…

I wonder what the driver’s phone records would say…

Rorschach test I guess. It looked to me like a description of what can happen when someone cuts a left thinking they’re clear and not noticing a bike.

Reads to me like typical anti-bike bullshit…

“Bike was going so fast that it spun the big ass SUV sideway, biker should have been going 5mph everywhere cause you know, bikes is dangerous”

No mention of any other information, just that the SUV got moved by the impact… That’s not someone trying to steer anyone’s opinion or anything, right?
