We’re happy to announce that we were able to make another release for Briar desktop today. With version 0.6.0-beta, blogs are finally available on desktops, too.

This release concludes our work done for the current grant of the NLnet foundation. Thanks for funding the work on this and all the other features we were able to ship in the past months!
This is the first I’ve heard of Briar. It seems interesting, but I’m curious:
Why I should choose Briar over Matrix?
For me the biggest selling point is being able to send blog post and messages through Bluetooth.
Direct device-to-device connection, for one, though Matrix appears to be much more mature at this point.
