MJ12 Detachment Agent
From the Risks and challenges section of their Kickstarter:
We understand that backing a Kickstarter campaign carries a certain level of risk for our backers. With our seasoned team at the helm, we’ve meticulously planned every aspect of the game’s development to adhere to strict budgets and timelines, all while prioritizing the best player experience possible.
Our extensive network of trusted studios and partners further fortifies our ability to deliver on our promises and ensure the utmost quality for our project. Your support means the world to us, and we’re dedicated to going above and beyond to ensure your satisfaction throughout this journey.
Why didn’t they include the point about needing additional investment beyond their Kickstarter target for the project to be viable?
Volunteer PR work (including knowingly spreading misinformation) is extremely common for all fanboys, it’s a Nintendo specific thing.
EDIT: I meant to say it’s not a Nintendo only/specific thing. It’s true of all hardcore fanboys, even outside of game.
Diablo 1 and 2 were totally fine. There was no trash monetiziation around them (haven’t played the remaster of D2, so can’t speak for it).
This is a long series article on gacha. This is the third or the fourth one.
I can understand using a more broad definition of MMO due to changes in the market.
Is the “tool assist” not buying it in the first place? 😅
A very good point. :)
I like the graphics on this one. While I am a hardcore logistics/tycoon nerd, I do sometimes enjoy somewhat more casual experiences. :)
Some nice screenshot, I thought Fallout 76 looked like shit for some reason. Could just be my impression from the launch.
I was hoping this delayed the Cube movie from 1997.
Agreed. Realism is honestly not needed (although it’s cool that we have such games). You need good gameplay and atmosphere and ambience that give you the feeling of being in a different world so to speak.
How does it compare to Uplink in terms of gameplay. Uplink was the best simulation style hacking game that I’ve played.
100 % of proceeds are transferred automatically to the Serhiy Prytula Humanitarian Foundation, one of Ukraine’s largest and most trusted NGOs.
This is a very reputable charity organisation. Serhiy Prytula is a well known comedian in Ukraine who has been working on charity work since the full scale invasion.
If you have more than $8 to spare there is also “Come back alive”:
Thank you!
A lot of the negative reviews are about the game not being like RI1 (although there are other complaints too).
RI1 was pretty simply if you have have experience with tycoon/logistics games.
The feedback from the demo was really good.
Perhaps the change in style relative to the first one caught some people off guard.
I would say let’s wait till there are more reviews.
I am planning to get to this soon. I loved Project Highrise.
I like the daily screen posts even though I don’t play console at all.
It adds a positive vibe to the community.
Cool stuff! Curious about how voting on new rules is going to work out.
I would like to request the following communities to be added to the sidebar:
Disclaimer: I mod/curate two of these communities and contribute a lot to citybuilders.
That being said, I contribute to games@lemmy.world as well. :)
Check back in a few hours.
I can see your community via community search on Voyage.
The post also appears on search. It looks like the tool works.
Even from a major instance (one of the ones that was successfully federated by a bot)?
Sopuli is Finnish, some Euro community are on there, although there are many generic communities as well.
