  • I rooted my phone years ago and it was a chore. Once it finally worked, hardly any of my apps would run and nothing important worked because suddenly a rooted phone isn’t “safe”. It was such a pain in the ass to do updates and fight programs to run that I stopped. I didn’t want to spend hours fixing a device that I really didn’t want to think about.

I would love to install GrapheneOS and have it mostly just work. I hate having my phone locked down like it’s not mine, and it’s one of the reasons I won’t use it for anything important over my desktop.

  • No one wants to die at 75 - that’s a single decade (in old age, mind you, with limited options) to enjoy retirement. IF you managed to retire. There’s a lot of older people now that I work with that simply can’t retire, because they can’t afford it. That’s only going to get worse as we grow old and need to retire.

We can’t enact Logan’s Run at 75 and assume it’ll fix anything. We’ll all work till we drop, which I don’t want for my children. Hell, my parents don’t want that for me now!

  • I found that lowering the difficulty was just required. The early game, you have a LOT stacked against you. When you level up, get more abilities, better gear - then you don’t have to pull them behind a doorway or something.

It made sense that you were completely outgunned in the start, but as you progress, it’s a little easier.

However, the emphasis on surfaces was bad. It was way too easy to make necrotic fire that was 2 turns to dispel a small portion of. And in the beginning, it’s very hard to get rid of it. Late game, you can turn it into a healing fire.

But other than those gripes, it was a fantastic game. Well with the time invested to learn it. Just, lower the difficulty.
