If you believe anyone is above politics I have a bridge to sell you.

My point is precisely that the US Supreme Court is embroiled in politics. The notion that being appointed somehow insulates the justices from politics is absurd.
Elections at least create some semblance of accountability to the voters.
Elected Judges still get their jobs done. They have clerks who do a lot of their drafting and grunt work in the office.
For large elections, there are staffers and volunteers who do a lot of the electioneering. For small elections, campaign events only occur on weekends and at other times when court is not in session.
Typo fixed. Pedantry is fun isn’t it.?
US Supreme Court Justices are not elected. They make a lot of political decisions beyond just upholding the status quo. There are a lot of US states that have judicial elections and they don’t have major crises because of it.
Short terms of office should have the same effect. If you want to stay in power you should have fight for it.
Mega drive would have sounded cool when it came out, though it’s perhaps the most dated sounding name of the bunch.
It helps that emulators have caught up in the last ten years. When I started collecting consoles there wasn’t a good emulator for the Saturn and even emulating the snes on a mobile device with similar power to a pi was inaccurate at times.
I have less and less reason to want to use original hardware other than nostalgia.
If you haven’t read snowcrash, and you like cyberpunk and comedy, you should read it!
The Deliverator’s car has enough potential energy packed into its batteries to fire a pound of bacon into the Asteroid Belt. Unlike a bimbo box or a Burb beater, the Deliverator’s car unloads that power through gaping, gleaming, polished sphincters. When the Deliverator puts the hammer down, shit happens. You want to talk contact patches? Your car’s tires have tiny contact patches, talk to the asphalt in four places the size of your tongue. The Deliverator’s car has big sticky tires with contact patches the size of a fat lady’s thighs. The Deliverator is in touch with the road, starts like a bad day, stops on a peseta.
It should be standard practice for Bethesda games to wait for a game of the year edition (or whatever they want to call it) then wait for a steam sale on that.
The villain of the second game’s name is based off the Japanese characters used for Spyro’s name. スパイロ, looks like Ripto as stylized on the box art for the first Spyro.
This is what nvidia did with the shield, and they don’t make a mobile version anymore. The set top box was just that successful.
A Steam Deck dock with a pci slot for an external graphics card would be phenomenal.
I’m not arguing for originality. I’m saying that you can have a human connection with a human made piece of art that, by definition, canon exist for AI art.
The anger comes from the fact that companies are using AI instead of hiring artists.
There is a distinction between a human being inspired by an existing piece of art and an ai creating something from other art. The human has to experience it through the lens of the human experience and create using the human body. AI takes multiple pieces of art and essentially makes a collage.
Damn, Genesis does what steam don’t.
Damn, too bad I don’t have a cell phone
You’re getting awfully close to sounding like the psychos who say that all fossils are invented or placed on earth by the devil to confuse humanity about the age of the earth.
Most mounted dinosaur skeletons contain real fossils. Many museums have diagrams showing which are real and which are recreations of fossils that were missing or too damaged to mount for each specimen.
Paleontologists can determine what the missing fossils looked like based on other specimens and looking at what they have in context of other similar species that have more complete skeletons.
