Thanks, I’m downloading it now!
Newsblur right now. I don’t want ads, and I like the f-droid disabled the intrusive options from the playstore.
Any other reader recs? Not married to it by any means, I like it well enough. I don’t like that I can’t browse by folder or by everything without a premium subscription though. $99/year is extreme for my uses, wish there was a more palatable option for intermediate users. Still, it’s easy enough to jump between topics.
As someone that needed their first deck RMA’d that fuckin rules. I was PISSED mine died, still have no clue what happened never had a device catastrophically fail like that, but they were awesome about it. Tech support tried to diagnose and fix and when it was obvious it was toast they just took it back and sent me a new one.
Especially if it comes with the same warranty as a new one.
7 pro is my favorite phone ove ever owned, finally unseating the v30 which was criminally underrated at the time. I wish there was something better that wasn’t made by Google, but I have always been disappointed with my Samsung devices (Galaxy Note OG, Galaxy s7edge, S9). I felt trapped by them and they always had SO MUCH BLOAT. The s7 was the best of the bunch. I’ve had about as many pixels (2pro, 3pro, 6, 7 pro). They’ve all gotten better with each iteration, but I saw no reason to even consider a pixel 4 or 5. 6 was a huge step up but had some build quality issues. Overall I liked the design choices. I would still have my six but I was having a battery issue that couldn’t be fixed so they let me trade it in and shaved $100 off the 7pro for me in lieu of doing an RMA that late into the life cycle. 7 pro is excellent. I won’t be getting a new phone until this one is dead.
I meant specifically voyager and infinity, I’m way too turned off by Syncs tracking and ad filled cash grab antica. Hard pass.
In retrospect I think I’m an idiot and 52 gigs was what I had available before I made more space by deleting shit.
Ignore me, I’m fairly stupid today.
I didn’t have early access, I bought it straight from steam today. It was 54gb and change 🤷🏻♂️
I’m just counting the days until Boost for Lemmy releases but I feel you. The UI of infinity is very nice, and the feature customization is solid. I’ve been comparing all new apps to connect since I found it, and it’s still the one I keep coming back to. It has less polish but it checks all the feature boxes for me! Infinity is the only other app I’ve added to my home screen though, I could see it worming it’s way in.
Damn voyager, sync, infinity all within like 24 hours of each other!
Never heard of voyager previously but I’ll give it a shot! Liking infinity a lot too. Both your apps should copy connects feature of blocking users and instances right from the post. It’s super handy, especially when you realize someone is spamming, just give them the ol block and forget about it.
Why is your install twice the size mine was?
Oh thanks for the tip! I didn’t even realize there was a codeberg link in the post.
Is this only for iOS so far? Not seeing it on f-droid or play store.
This article is dumb. It grasps at straws and seems to completely overlook the fact that union contracts have to be voted on by their members. If the tank and file aren’t happy with this deal, it won’t pass.
“Only an 18%” raise over four years is 4.5% per year. It doesn’t matter if it doesn’t keep up with inflation, that’s still a hell of a guarantee. Very few raises are keeping up with inflation, mine included.
It also complains about $23 for part timers and seems to suggest it’s not enough to make ends meet…of course it isn’t. It’s a part time job. $23 is $8 above minimum wage, like what is this trash?
I was never BIG into ska, but of the limited amount I listened to, by far my favorite Ska Album was Mighty Mighty Bosstones: Jacknife to a Swan. There’s nothing SPECIAL about it, it’s just got a ton of hooky, upbeat, quality ska bangers on it. My personal faves from the record are: Sugar Free, Mr. Moran, You Gotta Go, and Old School Off the Bright.
Also check out older gold finger albums, they had some solid ska tracks but were never really a ska band. Reel Big Fish and Less Than Jake are probably the most main stream bands. Ska has always been a more underground genre, you kinda gotta dig around a little bit to find the gems.
Would you fucking stop please?
Question - is there a way to make my Plex library always available without having my desktop running non-stop? My Plex downloads live on an M2 on my desktop currently. Second question - I can only access my Plex files from my local network but most people seem to use it from anywhere. What am I doing wrong, or do you need premium for that feature?
Just because it isn’t a real competitor doesn’t mean that it wasn’t meant to be one. It was developed targeting what Logitech thought would be the biggest use case for deck, which was playing games that could be streamed, and have other hardware do the bulk of the lifting. The problem is that deck can also do that, and does it better. It was probably a fairly low effort cash grab by Logitech, but they still made it and sunk a ton of R&D costs into getting it out near the deck release.
It was probably developed directly in response to the deck being announced, in order to compete in an open market. If it wasn’t directly in response, then they still felt strongly enough that it would compete that they didn’t cut their losses after the deck was announced.
Elden Ring. Been on a souls like kick, so decided to do another playthrough. Haven’t played in over a year I don’t think so it’s time!
