Password is hashed locally. Only already hashed password is trasmitted over the internet.
I don’t know the specifcs, but there are strict rules and requirements on how the data has to be stored if you process any of it, then there is complience issues with laws like GDPR and you have to be a registered entity as far as I know. It’s just too much legal paperwork for most FOSS projects.

Already do and most are receptive to it once you show them that every single one of them were caught up in a breach at some point.

In settings under sources, you can try changing the default target to load the full content if the images are not shown. It depends on the RSS implementation.
All Google apps download numbers are useless as they count every single Android phone ever sold. Never compare them.

Not really, it’s possible to reach it online, but it comes with compromises to user experience. That’s not something most people will ever want, but everyone can easily minimize the data being collected about them without harming user experience.
