Another helpful community lost to the data blackhole that is Discord :(
Why are they reimagining anything? Hasn’t BattleBit proven that what Battlefield really needs is to go back to its roots? Just make Bad Company 3!
Taking the opportunity to plug my new favorite RSS app, Feeder. I found it recently from another Lemmy user. It’s FOSS, no ads, beautiful, and has lots of features. Here it is on Google Play and F-Droid.
Lemmy supports RSS! You can use it to subscribe to communities and, even better, your inbox! Easy way to be notified of replies/dms/etc.
I welcome the extra content and massive expansion of the fediverse! Having millions of users has its advantages. Smaller communities will still exist.
Thank you! My favorite RSS app got suddenly over run by ads a few years ago. I’ve been lacking a replacement ever since. Feeder is exactly what I needed!
Connect for Lemmy is a good Sync clone until the official Sync app releases
One person on your instance needs to join for the community to appear. That is the major benefit of joining a large instance, you don’t need to search other instances or use 3rd party tools to find new communities.
Fixing the links for us lemmy users (I think? Still getting used to this myself)
