I’ve been using Creality’s hyper PLA. It’s pretty good quality and my printer/slicer combo has presets that are 95% what I want (I tweak the print and bed temps as needed). I’m using an Ender 3 V3 KE for reference.

I’m definitely going to try the retraction speed (instead of distance) and no z-hop in the morning.
Still try the higher temp, but bump up your retraction to counteract that. I went with the same move for printing silk to get cleaner layers, and it’s worked out really well.
I certainly would. Going public is always the precursor to enshittification.
They’ve maintained a very pro-consumer stance so far; so yes, I do believe them for the time being.
On the plus side, you can use any Bluetooth or USB compatible controller that you find comfortable and a cheap stand to make your experience more comfortable. Steam’s controller support is fantastic.
True. Thankfully, it’s a common part, so I was able to replace mine relatively easily and it’s held up well.
If it is a Deckard coming soon, I’ll definitely be working out for one.
It’s still fulfilling its role well. Meanwhile, the Index is getting pretty old compared to current-gen VR headsets. It’s still a fantastic headset, but it would be nice to have something smaller, lighter, and wireless.
Bigscreen’s Beyond headset should be looked at as something the next wave of VR headsets should strive for.
Sadly, boomers are now referring to USB-C cables as “iPhone chargers”
The Steam Deck is the biggest contributor to this number. According to the article, 42% of Linux users on Steam are Deck users.
The dance is 16 beats, so it will technically work for almost any song with a 4/4 time signature. Numa numa, CBAT, Never Gonna Give You Up, Axel F, Do It To It, Get Schwifty; and the list could go on for ages. It’s the most common time signature out there.
It looks like you have to install KDE connect on both devices, and they have to be on the same network. Handy, but completely different type of app and method of execution.
I’ve been waiting for Satisfactory to add controller support. The game runs fine and the number of buttons it uses is fairly limited; but alas, no proper support yet.
I haven’t tried Minecraft with one of the industrial/ultimate packs yet; but that typically requires java edition, which needs an extra mod for controller support.
Latest update just added controller support!
It started as a typical Lemmy instance with a focus on lack of censorship, and now it’s the “if your porn is too weird for Lemmynsfw, it’s welcome here as long as it’s legal” instance.
What style of RTS are you looking for? City Skylines and Transport Fever 2 show up under Strategy for Steam Deck verified games, but I personally wouldn’t consider them a traditional RTS (although they’re both very entertaining to me).
Some games that flip that focus switch and suck me in without heavy gameplay :
-Stardew Valley (honestly, probably the most fitting recommendation here)
-Factorio (turn off the bugs for a more casual experience), alternatively there’s Satsfactory
-OpenTTD or Transport Fever 2
Diverging from the top-down style:
-Oddly enough, Farming Simulator 22 (there’s always that next thing to do so you can build up)
-Space Engineers
-Minecraft
Let the bed cool down all the way, ya little gremlin! If you absolutely can’t wait, put the bed on a tile floor and your print should pop off on it’s own pretty quick.
