kinda excited to see what their native vertical tabs will look like. i’ve been using sidebery for the past ~3 years and i’m extremely satisfied with it, i somehow doubt their native version will look as good

yep, this is what i meant
moving large files
this is not a solution to the issue of mac for no reason not wanting to mount your drive, but are you familiar with SyncThing? i’ve been using it since like 2015 and have never had an issue, it’s super fast and local. requires both devices to be powered while transferring, though
yes, absolutely, as long as we don’t become ignorant to the huge ethical issues with steam like their decade of running an underage gambling surrogate. sorry, i just take issue with the article pointing out flaws of xbox and playstation without counter-balancing those criticisms with something about valve. valve is certainly better than both sony and microsoft in every regard, but they are not innocent at all
gonna kiss myself with a cement brick if they let zuckerberg buy it and turn it into the same UX nightmare that reels is
what are you making misleading claims about Qwant for??? if you click your own damn link you’ll see that the only case where they need to collect your name is if you make an account (completely unnecessary), make a de-listing request (to verify that you are who you say you are before removing something, otherwise i could just go and have jeff bezos removed), or if you report something.
also, 80% of your bullet points after “user agent” are redundant because they are literally just what makes up a user agent. newsflash: every single website you ever visit in your life collects your user agent because it needs to know whether to give you the mobile or the desktop version of the site. this has nothing to do with privacy in this case, you’re just slandering to slander
this is sick, love qwant and hope this gives them more resources
DuckDuckGo is US-based and founded by the person who previously founded “The Names Database”.
first skyrim run in like a decade, really makes it obvious how technically shitty the game is. so many immersion-ruining moments all the time, like people talking over each other. also the world map screen might be the most ugly and least useful of its kind. if i was on pc i’d install the mod that displays roads on the map.
but the atmosphere is nice :)
“prompt engineering” in itself is such an embarrassing term for the act of saying “computer uhhh show me epic boobies!!”
like that joke about calling dishwashing “submerged porcelain technician” but unironically
sad that twitter users will jump to literally anything except mastodon. wake me up in 15 years when bluesky finishes its twitter elon musk cycle and it’ll be like i took a 12 second nap
that sounds better than my prejudice made me guess :) i’ll watch more streams of it to get a better feel for it. thank you
i stand with you, my very downvoted brother. granted i’ve seen like 7 minutes total of gameplay, but it just seems like another “build base, do resource chores” game with some very reddit “dude what if you could SHOOT pokémon⁉️” sprinkled on top
very simple, i just host files on an external hdd on my macbook (which i use all day anyway) over plex, then watch through apple tv. i tried Infuse in the past, but their library and metadata handling is just atrocious (and there is like a 5+ year old active forum thread of people repeatedly begging the devs to allow “custom shows” through manually created .nfo files, but i guess the devs care more about superficial UI changes and abandoning their previous one-time purchase option in favor of subscriptions)
fuck, my poor innocent phone number has been tainted for little reason
but requires a phone number!
oh no god no greenlight was awful LMAO, i’m talking about before even that where whoever behind the scenes i assume looked through “hey we have this game we’d like to sell on steam” emails or something
take me back to when steam was curated by real human beings and there was quality control. anyway gamers will continue defending valve despite stories like this because they made a handful of good games 20 years ago and since then have been sitting on the skin gambling empire of parents’ unsupervised credit cards
YES! i currently have to use custom css to achieve this, would be so much more convenient if it was an extension
