a lot of people on here are geezers and don’t understand it. they are literally calling USD (the actual currency of the United States!!!) a pump and dump scam. thats all you need to know.
Like you, I am a living person with memories, emotions, and interests. But from your perspective, I’m just another picture on a screen. Isn’t that concerning?

I only say this because the parent comment was in reference to payments and the reply was talking about investment inflation / deflation. for strictly sending payments, stablecoins can be okay. but as for crypto shit as a whole I’m not a fan of what it’s become.
except there are things like tether and usdc which are fixed to the value of the US dollar permanently.
Lemmy world is basically still Reddit. so that one
sadly the main thing that keeps me from switching to most decentralised things is the lack of a private account.
I actually started playing Pokémon creepy black (GBA) the other day. it basically turns your game into the creepypasta of the same name, but also alters the dialogue here and there which leads to some funny moments.
Warzone player here, I actually had to switch back to windows after like 3 years on mint because of this sadly.

can I become a hobgoblin too
a lot of the people making these posts don’t realise they are going to fake clone sites with a lesser library that could even be potentially dangerous. even outside of this space people are fooling themselves, I saw someone on discord post a fake 9anime link yesterday.
so called mothership being taken down meanwhile I am about to watch a newly downloaded show once my breakfast is done
fellow IRC enjoyer…
I’ve never heard anyone say this.
a lot of instances are really just Redditors who refuse to use reddit. this is especially apparent with the USA defaultism. the best thing you can do is curate the feed with blocked communities and only stay in subscribed, but as we can see here it even bleeds into totally unrelated shit sometimes, so.
Like 50GB of music, probably about 30gb of shows. though I only started downloading shows very recently, like earlier this year.
Least controversial day on Reddit.
dang, can’t believe it’s already hitting 2 years since the API fiasco. feels like it’s been no time at all.
