Further, in this article it states that a separate peer-reviewed study found that in fact fossil fuels are still used for 82% of energy generation and that the 30% number was pulled out of someone’s ass from what I can tell. And for the 30% number they’re saying 16% is from hydropower and then the other 14% is 7% wind 7% solar. Somehow this math doesn’t add up to me. I realize this is uplifting news and I’m not trying to be a Debbie Downer here, but I would like factually sourced articles.

What kind of crack are you smoking? The entire point of the nuclear is so that it can take the base load that we rely on Fossil fuels to cover so that we can use renewables and battery storage in combination with nuclear power to meet peak demand.
