Its unfortunately an effective strategy to hide their crimes. They speak vocally about harsh treatment of the people that do their type of harm and slowly escalate with their victims.
People see them being real close friends with a member of their church, then dismiss it because they know their public opinion on predators. After a while they start seeing their victims outside of church or whatever it happens to be. Other parents think it’s weird but dismiss it again because of the predators’ outspoken opinions and it’s not too much further than their interactions with the victim in church. They’re boiling the frog. The last step is getting so close with the victim that the victim begins to see them as one of their closest friends and helps bring others into the abuse either through photos or physically.
This is the first time I’ve laughed at something related to our political situation in a long time. Good job on this thread guys. I appreciate it
Just a typo. 400 meters*
This bridge is actually a big deal in terms of economic prosperity for Sicilians. It’s also very technically challenging if not necessarily the longest bridge to build. The area is seismically active, regularly battles high winds, and the strait is rather deep for how narrow it is.
So to reach the sea floor you need to submerge your span supports nearly 250 meters in choppy, fast-flowing water while also leaving enough room for regional shipping traffic. If you want to avoid that and build a suspension bridge–then it would surpass the current longest by 4,000 meters and you’re then battling the wind and seismic activity.
Then there’s the additional logistical issue of making sure corrupt southern italian mafioso don’t hoover up construction contracts and bleed the project dry of funding.
Right, but the poster did mention that they were making a connection and transferring at least some data, so I just kind of inferred that the seeder has port forwarding.
If I understand correctly, port forwarding has no effect on download. It’s only a factor in seeding. So if that’s the case, there’s likely nothing you can do. Your download rate is entirely dependent on the behavior of the seeder you’re downloading from. If they give priority to other media that is more popular and increases their seed ratio while relegating the source you’re trying to download, then you’re at their mercy. This is why using VPNs that are capable of port forwarding is so important. You may be the only person who manages to download whatever it is your trying to grab. If the seeder you got it from goes offline, anyone else wanting that material is shit out of luck unless they happen to use Mullvad. Mullvad is great. Their privacy and pricing is very strong. I’d recommend it to anyone, but for the purpose of information availability and preservation through torrenting, a VPN capable of port forwarding is a requirement.

Anyone got one of them antitrust lawsuits?
Holy cow am I glad that I have no desire to pirate (presumably) nude photos of celebrities. Let alone post on a forum about where I can find them…you do you of course, but this seems like trouble
Bummer. I’ll hop on a redeye Amtrak train tonight and bark at the moon in his honor. Silliness aside, he always seemed like a genuine good guy. Hope he’s able to find peace and his family solace in the kind words that will be spoke of him in the coming days. If nothing else I’ll always really enjoy his hits when they come up in my playlists.
It could be a case of intentional word play but the wording of the article makes it seem like it’s more than just usenet. Specifically the line: “inciting serious sexual abuse of children via a messenger service and producing child pornography content”
It doesn’t read as though it’s simply CSAM traffic through his network and if that were the case, I’d imagine the other 2 would be looking at similar charges, but news media notoriously bad a properly representing tech so that’s what gives me caution.
Yeah, I don’t care if you’re seeding the entirety of film history for free. If you’re also helping distribute child pornography, you deserve to rot.
I do wonder if this is a usenet case though. I know that’s a concern for a lot of people.
Why? It has literally nothing to do with politics. Its a trophy from a sport that he doesn’t watch, has never played, and won’t support in the future. The MLS is the most “woke” of the major sports leagues in the United States, so it’s in theory the antithesis of Trump’s agenda. They regularly engage in pride initiatives and imagery, plus encourage globalism at the venues and through broadcasts. Not to mention that this tournament doesn’t/didn’t really draw the full effort from clubs. Teams regularly didn’t play their regular season starting XI and players didn’t display max effort either. Most of them just finished a 32+ week season and played around 40 matches. There’s already labor disputes about the density and duration of the football schedule in Europe and the injuries associated with playing as much as they do. At best, I would guess that players put about 70% of their max effort into these matches considering the issue of heat too.
I’m going to speak for them since I haven’t seen a reply, so this is just an assumption and should be taken as such until they reply. But, there’s plenty of positive aspects of local churches outside of faith. Many churches run community-based philanthropy efforts and provide a gathering space for members and nonmembers which is especially helpful in locations that don’t have much in the way of things to do or other places to gather. Humans are social creatures and whether gay or not, the church is a large community.
Hell, no one trusts the Internet, but still comes back to participate.
Going to bat for xbox or Microsoft right now is a death sentence on the internet so by internet law I have to downvote you. Sorry, it’s just the way things go…
That said, I agree. Being able to buy a $30 plug and play pack with rechargeable battery packs or being able to buy rechargeable AAs or just normal AA batteries is the best of all the current first party options.
Maybe? But 122 is way different than 114 in this case.
Its by design. If they have an unruly person they want to just get rid of every once in a while, kill them behind closed doors and dump the body in the swamp during a faux escape attempt. Then during the media circuit that surrounds the death you just claim the prisoner was killed by alligators in the surrounding swamp after an attempted escape.
The children yearn for the mines
Format, no, but sometimes the release group. I’ve filtered some of them out but there’s times when they’re the only option for high quality content. So I was hoping to solve the issue another way.
Excellent insight on the after release setting, that would explain why they’re getting downloaded prior to the air date. I always assumed that’s what that meant.
