Remind me why we allowed this much consolidation of the industry?

So, like, … maybe 50 or so smaller regions? And a few other mostly even smaller territories that don’t get those rights, just for funsies?
I joke, of course. But in seriousness: Are you suggesting the US just defederate and become more like, say, the EU? What are you anticipating that would solve? Moreover, what is it that makes it too big to be a democracy? Can large governments exist only in authoritarian forms? Why would that be?
I also work inpatient psych, doing admission evaluations. Anecdotally, it seems like my patients who report using synthetics and distillates get the worst psychotic symptoms while under the influence. I’m guessing the delta-8 edibles and vaporizers they’re buying legally from local shops probably contain no CBD at all.
Hopefully in 4 years we can make out like it never happened and that it was nothing.
They also call themselves “the party of law and order”, but made a convicted felon their king. They also say they favor “small government”, but try to use the government to dictate what people can do with their own bodies. They also say they’re defenders of free speech, but then call the news media “the enemy of the people”. They also portray themselves as the party of Christianity, but actively try to do everything the opposite of what Jesus Christ taught.
The Republican party isn’t known for being honest.
[…] he made a gesture that drew online comparisons to a Nazi salute […]
Why is the popular media so scared to call a Nazi a Nazi? He did a Nazi salute. It wasn’t just a gesture that drew comparisons from the internet. It was a Nazi salute, clearly done with intent.
C. All of the above.
And which ones are reproducing more?
May or may not be relevant. Statistically, people with illnesses like schizophrenia are no more likely to commit violent crimes than the general population (but are more likely to be victims of violent crimes). There are documented cases of people with schizophrenia killing or commiting other violent acts in response to delusions, but it’s usually in an act that they perceive as self-defense rather than being driven by malice or desire to harm. I.e., it’s generally more like “I killed my dad because he was going to kill me” rather than “I went out and murdered some random women because no women like me.”
Yeah, they’d take the plane straight back to a gate and pass you off to EMS. And then leave without you.
Starsiege: Tribes (and Tribes 2)
Knights of the Old Republic (why not more mentions of this?!)
And Valheim or Minecraft. Both have offered countless hours of entertainment in the company of friends and family.
Thanks for sharing this, mildly surprised I hadn’t heard of it! I’m glad that someone has picked up the Starsiege/Tribes intellectual property, whatever form it’s taking.
There’s Midair 2 Community Edition, or something like that, which you can find on Steam. Join their Discord channel and you can probably get a playtest key. It looks like it’s just going to be little more than the LT mod with cosmetic micro transactions though, which are the opposite of anything I liked about Tribes… But jet packs and skiing are there, so I’ll play it at least a little.
They were raised to be terrified of it, and so they raise their kids to be terrified of it, and the cycle perpetuates. It’s hard to break. The reasoning is usually that seeing nudity will tempt them to sin. As someone who abandoned his puritanical upbringing nearly 20 years ago, I still have a hard time just being ok with human bodies - even after being a nurse for some years, I’m still not entirely desensitized to nudity.
