Keep in mind jellyfin doesn’t work with shuffle, the first episode will be random but then plays them all in order.

Steam deck’s default settings turn the screen off when you press the power button. Are you talking about docked mode? Not sure what monitor you’re talking about.
Dimming after an allotted time is also default on desktop mode, so I’m not sure what you’re referencing. Gonna need more information.

Plex would still work. It can still browse and play media, but it’s a little overkill. I personally wouldn’t trust that laggy mess they call Kodi.

The performance is not the same. Games will always run slightly worse on Proton. Pretending there are no negatives is just crazy.
I love Proton as much as the next guy, but it’s no replacement for natively supported games.
It’s just a band aid. It’s not a solution.
