The name is the name of the community. The actual name that’s all lowercase is the name it will show on the URL. You can name the community anything but the url cannot have weird things in it
Happy for them!
What? PiHole doesn’t block YouTube ads yet. It’s needed. Having two Adblock’s isn’t a problem either.
Not really. The “Enhancer for YouTube” was causing problem with the YouTube anti-block to show up. So disabling what effectively allowed uBlock to block those anti-Adblock notices. I think they now fixed the issues with “Enhancer for YouTube” extension.
I know, but they help with the ads on the website itself. Not the videos.
If you use uBlock origin you would never see it. I use both PiHole + uBlock origin and I would never see it lmao.
Whether there was several contributors or not doesn’t give anyone to act the way he was acting. He was just talking nonsense trying to stir up something. He has issues he needs to resolve and it’s great that he stepped down—he needed that desperately.
Wow all his shills coming out. Bro I know the Lemmy devs are not the best ideological politically inclined people, but they don’t go out of their way to attack others and made it clear their software do not represent their views. I made my own instance and using their software—which isn’t only theirs but lot of other contributors as well.
He’s the main guy (project maintainer + creator). Not “a single guy”. He was the face and the creator. It was his project. Did not know he was stepping down. But good for the project.
I heard bad things about the maintainer. Not sure if I trust the project now.
You can make it private only. And have it not block all of the federation except few. Server location is not necessarily your location. Just make sure you have log rotate and keep as few logs on the file system as possible: and use nicknames and nothing personal.
Try Gwent. It’s a card game that’s really fun and competitive.
