As of two days ago we are official a Microsoft Windows free household (except when my wife is WFH).
The holdout was our gaming PC but I put Bazzite on it because who wants to use Windows 11?
I’m here for entertainment and to engage with opinions, views and perspectives different than my own to grow myself. I don’t care if you downvote but if you don’t engage me I can’t learn from it so I may block you as I’ll take it that you don’t want to see my content.

I think you’re right though it varies by locale. I live in Minnesota and here police officers are required to have a college education and part of that is learning and being tested on both the criminal and traffic code. You’re not expected to have it all memorized but you are supposed to have reviewed it and understood it.
Another good indicator is that the police in the US don’t actually know what the law is most of the time.
Polaroid is actually a genericization for instant print camera film though o doubt he would have known it by the proper term either.
Have you tried flying a drone into any kind of protected airspace, like these places? I can engage in whataboutism too.
If you really believe it’s that hard to get into a sports stadium or other high profile event you might want to read up on Dion Rich.
Or maybe think back to the recent past about Thomas Matthew Crooks.
Maybe consider how loud and conspicuous drones actually are.
Or maybe read the US Army’s land warfare paper about drone attacks.
There might, maybe even likely will, come a day when drones can be used effectively in the manner proposed but it’s not today.
The combination of security theater (metal detectors) and captive sales (no outside thermoses) makes it somewhat difficult to sneak something substantial into a closed event
Lol
There are countermeasures and protections in place against drones too.
A suicide bomber doesn’t need to escape. Inside people could plant remote detonated or timed devices between any final sweep and the start of the event.
Personally, I wouldn’t put my trust in the security theater at sporting events; not in the US at least.
Imagine a major league football or baseball stadium packed to capacity. Two or three suicide bombers/inside people
drones, each with a relatively small explosive charge surrounded by shrapnel fly in, crash into the spectators, and detonate. You end up with a small number of immediate casualties like what happened at the Boston Marathon. But the stampede of tens of thousands of panicking people trying to rush out of the stadium will probably injure and kill many more. Have a car bomb or two strategically located a couple blocks away where you expect those crowds to run and you’ve succeeded in your terror plans quite nicely…
We should understand anything is possible but drones complicate a simpler version of that plan that has worked many times previously.
Who has a coat rack in their shower?
No idea but there are still far too many Americans that support the current government and their actions.
No. Some Americans still haven’t learned their lesson.
The same people who enjoy soap operas and over the top dramas.
2.71Tb/515 series for TV, 6.28Tb/1176 titles in Movies.
Almost everything in MKV because that’s what I prefer.
I use Plex so it’s organized according to their requirements.
Everything is stored with a redundant backup on a Synology NAS with 6/9 HDD bays filled, totaling 48Tb in total storage space.
I run two servers (one on the Synology, one on a NUC-type Asus box) along with all my other systems.
Oh, and I have dual antenna tuners connected as well for live TV, DVR and playback.
Just looked through our past few menus. We only eat beef once a week by nature it seems.
This is also demonstrated well in the show Travelers with T.E.L.L.
Basically, a quantum AI from the future uses historical records to determine the time, elevation, latitude and longitude to send people back. Obviously the Earth itself is the reference point being used.
maybe a small park a 15 minute walk away
This is really dependent on where you live in the US. I just checked and the house I grew up in was within a 15 minute or less walk of 7 parks and 15 minutes isn’t really that far to walk. Especially in the US.
Honestly that quote sounds a lot like my childhood in Minnesota in the late 80s and early 90s.
Some of that might be rosy retrospection but I wonder how much this has changed in the US over the years.
While not balanced, this isn’t such a bad meal unless you assume it’s all as processed as it looks.
If it’s all homemade it wouldn’t be that hard to make any of these “healthy” in comparison to their store bought counterparts.
As for it being bad because it’s a “regular dinner for this imaginary person”, I’m guessing you’re unfamiliar with ARFID. I know of at least one person who has eaten like this for 40+ years and regular gets healthy results on his annual physical and tests.
Exactly! My drives are all sitting at about 40°C but they’ll get up to 50°C at the hottest.
I run a fan because I have it in a wall mounted case but when I had it on a shelf it wasn’t actively cooled and never got higher than it does now.
It is in our basement though and it’s only ever gotten to 27°C down there a few times and that was without A/C.
I saw somewhere that Bazzite was good for purpose built gaming rigs. I have yet to try it out though. My gut have to change it if I don’t like how it runs.
