Like we’re more than a million users, let it grow organically, not in some Reddit meme-crap way (or fusioning with fucking Facebook, guess how well that will go yeah).

But I have a question, I have blocked threads on my instance, I mean if there are no shenanigans (there will be ofc) are my instances safe? How does it work say if a user from my instance goes to lemmy.world? Isn’t it quite important that all servers block them off?

Only worry I have, will my instance “mirror” other I stances? I’m confident sharing videos because I know they won’t be looked at very much, but with a sort of decentralized cache system it could be costly (in bandwidth).

Molecules are small, really small and there are really many of them.

Our immune system works really hard, crazily hard even, and it’s not a simple mechanism (we basically don’t know how it works) but if you want to know if a fan blowing air or towel or a one usage towel is good or bad (or obviously how they influence our wellbeing) you have to do a real study. By scientists, and not by news looking “journalists”.

The copy shortcut is so much better on Mac but man decades of reinforced learning is hard to remove :-)

Where I put my hands, there is only function keys.

KeePass removes it as fast as you have pasted it.

Visual assist had multiple CTRL C back in the day (still does ofc but MSVC has now too, buttering fingers their functions over other old shortcuts) very neat and pro productivity especially the shortcut to “paste the second to last” IMO.

Well, my point was that even is he pays hosting fees (for example) the big job is managing it all, which we (mostly? all?) do for free. If a company wants to ear money hosting Lemmy, it’s gonna be either some big thing (host your own Lemmy for 5€/m) or one big instance like world, but it would cost a lot having paid people running it.

Guess my point was that he can pay a bit per month, but it won’t guarantee anything at all. He’s probably better off joining a medium-big free instance in the short medium and long run.

Now, this is just what I think :-) !
