I don’t think Jack is tolerant of the intolerant here. This seemed like a safety move. Everyone involved with their shows could be at risk from someone who hears this and makes them a target. The audience, employees at the venues etc.

I thought the games fundamental gameplay wasn’t as fun as the first game. But the story was interesting
You kind of answered your own question there. People can be unstable and crazy sometimes. Tenacious D will likely resume their shows after the election once things have calmed down. Given enough time, people will hopefully forget about this moment and move on.
Jack Black is a stand-up guy. If anyone is condemning him for this, then they either don’t know his character or are just being silly. He’s always been about doing the right thing. He doesn’t support trump, but he also doesn’t want to end up with a shooting at one of their shows.
Every single story I’ve read/ watched with him makes it clear that he’s just a good guy all around.
People are forgetting there’s nuance to this kind of thing. He doesn’t want to cancel the shows. They obviously love playing music, or they wouldn’t be doing shows anymore. They have tons of cash they don’t need more. This is purely trying to keep the band, the people that work for the band, everyone at the venues, etc, safe.
I have not played it yet personally, but they have the turok trilogy bundle on the switch. I’ve heard those games are good. The serious Sam collection is also available and that’s a lot of fun
Thank you! I like it too haha. The battle network games are awesome
This made my morning :3
Edit: not a fan of Frank’s new look, though. He looks…different.
Sorry for the late reply! This is an incredibly extensive list, thank you so much! I’ll have to give the game another go at some point here. It seems super charming, so maybe if I go into it with this added knowledge, I’ll be able to get my bearings. Have you tried the new game that just released a while back? I think it was called my time at Sandrock?
I am begrudgingly continuing my NG+ run of elden ring today so that I can play the DLC on Friday. It’s my own fault because I started NG+ thinking I would get through it. But after an almost 200 hour first playthrough, I was done and put it down.
I am not a big fan of how the DLC requires you to get further into the game to play it. But that minor gripe aside, I am quite interested to see where they take us in the DLC. I’m thinking I’ll need to fight my way to be able to respec again and I might go into the game as a spellcaster once more. Not quite sure just yet, but thinking about the possibilities is getting me a bit hyped haha
This was an insightful read. Thanks for sharing!
The first time I tried my time at Portia, I found building stuff took forever. I was trying to build a bridge(iirc?) And I felt like it was just going to be a lot of waiting. Was I playing it wrong?
Stardew Valley is the game that keeps on giving. At this point, I wish there was just more. More towns to visit, more activities, more everything.
The only thing that does kind of suck is that after year 1 I feel like I’ve kind of mastered whatever I was attempting to do. I’ve heard some people say after year 1 is where they enjoy the game the most, but idk I feel like by that point I’m making more money than I need and the only thing left to do is collect stuff or attempt the skull cavern.
But man. That first year is a blast. I’ve been thinking I should try out more mods or possibly a jojamart run at some point
Honestly, I have no idea how valid/effective the Chinese vaccine is. But stuff like this is bad for everyone, not just the people they were targeting. Short sighted plan, in my opinion.
Even more disturbing if it caused extra deaths.
Plus, if you don’t live in Vancouver or Toronto, your chance of seeing a non Canadian artist is a lot more slim. And even then, they might come nearby, but then you’re spending either gas money, a plane ticket, plus staying overnight at a hotel.
Idk about everyone else, but I’m struggling to pay the cost of living. Never mind having a luxury like that.
Oh, absolutely. We’re all subject to it. Even in ways that might confirm our own biases. It’s good to stop and try to think about what we’re reading/being told etc. But I think it’s super easy to not even realize
First to answer your question. Gosh man…I feel like everything is insanely expensive now. Food entertainment, resources, everything. It’s brutal. I went to a local used game shop and prices have not recovered since 2020. Some games are stupidly overpriced now.
Oh, I’ve seen this cabinet in person! It’s much smaller than I expected and would be kind of awkward to actually use. I’m 6 foot, and I would have to look down at it to use it.
It’s cool, though. The artwork is really neat.
I think if I was going to get a cabinet, there were only two ways I would want to go about it.
I would probably make my own and spend a heck of a lot of time and money on it. It would be a pain to do, but the end product would be something that fits my tastes and works perfectly. Those cabinets that are essentially just big emulators seem to make the most sense to build imo.
acquiring a DDR machine. I have no idea if you can even build those. I mean, I guess you could, but those would probably be expensive as heck.
I built a custom GBA a while back and I think when it was said and done I spent around $300+ CAD on it? It was more expensive than it needed to be, but it was a fun project to try. I taught myself how to solder too, which was fun.
If I may chime in, I believe you’re both correct in your own ways. Russia is being controlled through very “in your face” propaganda. America also, in many ways, is very controlling and also gets away with its fair share of atrocious behavior.
In my opinion, it’s a spectrum or a big circle. Instead of being “left or right”, they both circle around to their own variation of authoritarianism.
(although I would say the USA is slightly better off, for the time being, at least. I don’t think they’re quite as bad, but some aspects are indeed just as bad. But I have not visited Russia, so my perspective is skewed based purely on what I read about it.)
I wish the internet archive didn’t pick that battle with these companies. I don’t have faith that they will win when the government sides with corporations so frequently. I hope they have a way to dump everything to the public to be backed up. I fear if they were taken down we would lose all that important information
Stuff like this has kind of made me partially give up and settle in a sub-par job. There’s always job listings like this. Of course, I still apply, but man, after getting ghosted more times than I can count over the years, I don’t look at listing regularly anymore. I find it just makes me depressed.
Yeah, I mean the issue is that they don’t act in good faith so it’s hard to deal with.
I’m not an expert on how to resolve the issue by any means, but I don’t see a way around this without some force being applied.
The issue is not everyone is comfortable with that. A lot of people understandably want to live peacefully and without violence. But I don’t know how that will realistically happen when the right leaning side keeps pushing violent rhetoric. Maybe I’m just ignorant to more possible solutions, but it seems to me that eventually, there will be some kind of civil war if they don’t stop pushing towards dictatorship/fascist rule.
Edit: I forgot to mention, but that’s why you’ll see some people take a passive stance, and some will take a hard stance on it. And sometimes people will flip flop in between. It’s self-preservation.
Edit: this got me thinking more, and I found this interesting article about ways we can try to stop fascism without violence that have worked in other countries https://www.opendemocracy.net/en/transformation/how-fight-fascism-position-strength/
