Hollywood always fucks up movies based on games. I’m not expecting much from this movie.

You’re getting downvoted but I agree. The first game is one of my most played on Steam and I was invited to the technical test for the second. But I probably won’t be buying it any time soon. I absolutely hate the trend of buying unfinished products. While this developer is most likely not taking advantage, so many others do. Why should we pay money to beta test your game???
I was invited to the beta and by the time I went to download it, it was over. Regret not getting to try it out to know if I should buy it. Hades is one of my most played games on Steam but I will probably wait to get it. I prefer buying my games once they are mostly polished.
I didn’t realize Lemmy hated AI so much. Pretty much every post in this thread is bashing the idea. I’ve found AI to be very useful personally, I use it almost every day. It helped me code a VBA macro from scratch with 0 experience. This tool is saving me and my team hundreds of hours per year. It’s also great just as an improved search engine.
I’ve always wanted UBI to be a thing but after a discussion with my brother I’m second guessing it. His argument is that corporations will just increase their prices and not much would change.
He suggested that instead, we use the money that we would use for UBI to guarantee that EVERYONE’S basic needs are met. Housing, food, healthcare, etc…
I know it’s easier said than done but I’m just worried that billionaires will fuck up UBI like they fuck up everything else.
Dark mode all the way. When indoors I keep my brightness very low, like at 15-20%. How some people can use white mode and 75-100% brightness is beyond me.
I agree that cheddar is not bland garbage. I was just trying to make a point of how vastly different the flavors between the two were. I’ve had 4 year aged cheddar and it is fantastic. I guess I was mostly comparing the authentic high quality cheeses to low end mass produced crap. Not really a Parmigiano vs cheddar thing I guess. I’m sorry if I gave that impression.
Also, that’s a great idea. I have some homemade gnocchi in my freezer, I should try it with Parmigiano and pecorino.
They can be used to replace, I just put less. Not sure why you would say that. You don’t use a soft cheese when you make authentic Carbonara.
What are you even saying. They are both cheese. Take macaroni and cheese for example. Most boxed macaroni and cheese uses cheddar and so do many people when they make it themselves.
But I’ve made it with a combination of Parmigiano and pecorino romano and it was fantastic. Much better than when I made it with cheddar. Same thing with scalloped potatoes, made them with cheddar many times but they were never as good as when I made them with the Italian cheese.
Not sure what point you are trying to prove?
I’m sure that’s true. I’ve never had the imitation stuff so I don’t know how they compare. I’ve just been blown away by how good they are that it justifies the price for me. They are very strong cheeses so you don’t need to use much. I vacuum seal them after every use so they last forever.
On a semi-related note, Guanciale is ridiculously expensive and that I can’t justify buying no matter how much I want to make authentic Carbonara.
I understand that those are completely different but most people don’t buy authentic Parmigiano, pecorino romano or grana padano(I need to try this one). They use the regular plain cheese you buy in the big box stores. So to the average person putting a micro chip in a cheese wheel (which I read wasn’t even true) is an absurd notion. But I was pointing out that the regular cheddar/mozzarella the average person buys is bland garbage compared to these cheeses. I think people should try them and they will realize why they care so much about its authenticity.
It has so much more flavor! I’ve cooked dishes that I’ve made dozens of times and the only thing I changed was the cheese used. Those dishes tasted better every single time. It’s hard to describe because I also thought that it wouldn’t make much of a difference. But when I tried it, I was blown away.
I’ll never be able to explain it through a comment. I would recommend that everyone at least try it. You can usually find a small wedge of it at some grocery stores, shouldn’t be too expensive. Then make a dish that you’ve made many times but use those cheeses instead. You will see the difference right away.
If you’ve ever actually cooked with authentic parmigiano reggiano you would understand why. It’s absolutely fantastic stuff.
I used to cook with just whatever old cheddar was on sale at the big box stores. Then my father bought me a couple wedges of authentic parmesan and pecorino romano for my birthday. I will never go back. It’s not even comparable. I always have them on hand now.
I haven’t logged out since they started this push and I don’t get them with just Firefox/uBlock. I was getting them for a bit and they even blocked me completely at one point. But I just cleared my uBlock cache and updated and it’s been working fine.
Guide dogs are awesome, it’s nice to see a properly trained dog. Most people don’t train their dogs worth shit.
I don’t use any social media except for Lemmy. It used to be only Reddit but jumped ship after the API changes. I’m enjoying Lemmy for the most part. Commenting is better because it gets more traction compared to Reddit. Unlike others I actually enjoy having all the varying opinions from “problem” instances. It makes it feel less like an echo chamber, which Reddit was bad for.
My only issue is because it’s so much smaller than Reddit, there isn’t as much content or niche communities. I miss some of the subs I used to frequent on Reddit. Some of them were made into communities here but barely have any activity, like one post per week. I guess at the end of the day it’s a good thing cause I spend less time on Lemmy than I used to on Reddit.
I’ve always been a big proponent of UBI. But after speaking with my communist brother recently he opened my eyes to something. If UBI get’s implemented, big corporations will just increase prices and completely/partially negate it.
What we need is a NEEDS income. We establish what are basic needs, housing, healthcare, food, etc… and make sure that all of these needs are met.
I don’t think it works on the remake but I’ve been playing the Median XL Sigma mod. It’s very good and they’re still updating it.
Diablo 2 of course. It’s the best game ever made. I still play it for a month or two every year.
It took me like 5 minutes to find an alternative to Aniwave. It follows the exact same format and everything.
In my experience it’s like a game of whac-a-mole. One website goes down and another takes it’s place. I’m not worried.
