It’s been tanking for a lot longer than that
It’s only a matter of time before Google doesn’t give you directions for the shortest and most efficient route, but rather plans your route to send you past the stores that pay the most in advertising.
“You could get to your destination by going down smith street fastest, but Glover Street has McDonald’s so we will send you down that road”
It shows little popup logos on the screen where the places are located, like a McDonald’s logo a few street over as you are driving by in your commute. I had it show me a Toyota logo for a Toyota dealership yesterday. Like, why do I need to know there’s a Toyota dealership there unless I’m specifically searching for it? Toyota probably paid them to show up a certain amount of times.
You would have to guarantee those phones would eventually end up in the right person’s hands.
Otherwise if you sabotage 100 phones and only 30 go to your targets, even if you only detonate those 30 there are now 70 phones out there randomly floating around with enough explosives to kill some random person.
Black and white TV was fine 60 years ago and it’s fine now
Regular mowers have a person which animal can recognize as a threat and run away. They may not bother running from an automated mower I imagine.
There should almost be some sort of technological transfer to nearby empires, like cultural influence. If your neighbour is at 10000 tech points or whatever while you are at 1000, you should be able to leech some tech points from your neighbour to develop faster.
Transfer rate increases with the disparity between nations and decreases with distance.
So a super advanced empire on continent A will contribute to nations on continent A and B, but those on continent A get more of a bonus than those on B.
This aligns fairly well with reality as neighbouring countries would transfer students to universities all the time, less so the further the nations are apart.
I view phoning someone like popping over to their house and knocking on the door to chat with no prior warning. No one likes that.
Solar fields and random trees growing out of the ground do not mix well…
After 30 or so roll calls and doing them every day I’m pretty sure you would remember that Greg goes by Molly. It’s not that hard to remember your students’ names.
Unless every kid in your class has a different name then maybe it might get difficult, but at that point the roll call paper would be pointless and they may as well just print it with the preferred names on it
They probably should just print it with the preferred names anyways.
Why do they need to filter?
Can’t they easily tell that an account bought a certain product? Only allow those accounts to make a review, and only accounts that have made a certain number of purchases before.
Is he trying to eat those microphones?
Do states have more or less electoral votes based on population?
Like would California have more say in who becomes president than Idaho?
Or is it that stupid system where each state has an equal amount of votes?
I imagine the US would be pretty peeved if Russia assassinated the leader of Ukraine while he was visiting the states.
That’s the plan, currently half way to 60 and have a $20,000 line of credit so hoping I can get it up quite a bit before 60 😂
I’m making sure I have great credit for as long as I can so when im 60-70 I can just get a huge line of credit and go nuts. I don’t plan on having any kids to worry about my belongings/debt/estate etc.
If there were a nation that still practiced cannibalism, should everyone be fine with it because they’ve been doing it a long time and it’s part of their culture? Even if sustainable because they only ate the criminals?
Just because something has been done for a long time doesn’t mean it should still be acceptable, especially as we learn more such as the intelligence and importance to the food chain that whales have. It’s not like there are no other options.
I keep hearing people say this but does anyone have a reason why they believe Harris will be tougher on Israel than Biden was? I haven’t seen any sort of indication that she will other than a few words in a speech, despite Biden having been very soft on Israel.
Nintendo has been on my list of most hated companies for awhile now. Just can’t stand how they operate and design their games.
