Hey, I’ve seen this project a while ago, and it looks really well done. However, I’m not totally sure what the usecase is for it.
Why would I use this over
cp file ../file?
What economic model do you believe in?
Which they’re planning to remove
Lzma is a compression algorithm, not (just) a file format
.7z files support lzma compression, but do not use it exclusively
I use systemd, but I do not use a DE.
Just because they contain bloat, doesn’t mean they should, and that more should be added.

I have syncthing for file transfers, and I love it
Plus it’s normal for operating systems to have some kind of smartphone/smart device integration now.
And I don’t approve of this transition. It’s unnecessary bloat. Just install it if you want it.
I don’t really want my smartphone notifs on my PC. It should be an optional addition, like it currently is.
Not sure why KDE/GSconnect would need to be preinstalled tbh. But I agree with the others
1·1 year agoI’m not a yubikey user, but I’m curious.
I use KeePassXC and synchronise it with syncthing. This allows me to keep it off devices I have no control over (OneDrive servers) and also allows me to have per device version history.

Probably because there are A LOT of people using that tor exit node that have visited that site recently. So, cloudflare sees it as a potential DDOS
