Look, you will have a sizable contingent of people shelling out an additional $20 to $80 just to play a game a few days early, with little to no other benefits. Their impatience is capitalized on.
I am crossing my fingers that Mozilla doesn’t completely break K-9 mail by forcing Thunderbird before feature parity, it’s my favourite mobile mail client. I love using the volume keys to quickly scroll through inbox messages and mark them as read. (Other clients don’t seem to mark read unless you stare at a message for 3 seconds)
Hey Mr. Kimura, where should we build our new airport?
Mr. Koizumi, we have a big plot of empty land over here, do you remember why we haven’t built anything there yet?
… No?
… Okay!
I remember using Reddit years ago on Links. New Reddit was borderline unusable, old Reddit worked… okayish. How is Default web UI Lemmy on Links? Is there a nice TUI client that I guess you would use more regularly?
Not even enticing people with “free premium currency” just for logging in could entice me to play an Ubisoft shooter.
That’s amazing, I’m so happy for her. Hot pot is delicious.
I think this idea is good. I remember seeing those domain names last year. At the time it seemed muddy and uncomfortable to me, since there was a whole scheme of Reddit ghost accounts posting, while I understood there were good intentions behind it, mirrored posts were flooding users’ All feed to the point I started blocking a bunch of subs, and many admins defederated.
If we can promote the community first approach where the domain is the space for discussion to be held and stored, with users connecting from across the Fediverse, this would be excellent, a good alternative to massive centralized Lemmy servers. Collective ownership would ensure preservation of content if one or more go offline.
Updates uninstalled, all available permissions turned off, auto-update turned off for Galaxy Store. That app has done nothing but get in my way. Thanks for the reminder, Samsung.
Très bien, sehr gut!
Fluffychat on Android mobile. Feels familiar.
It’s a useful tool, but there is a security concern for anything not fully open source. You will have to weigh your risk factors, I doubt that it’s any problem for most consumers or distro hoppers.
Best to keep an eye in case any new contributers arrive suddenly…
What compounded the issue was that one of the nixpkgs maintainers had been closing all relevant issues, which redirects the discussion to HA forums. No matter how many times it is repeated “we at NixOS have no intention on putting extra work on the developer”, the actions speak differently.
One or more maintainers later apologized, judging downthread it seems this was mostly resolved amicably between the people involved. No reason to get upset about it again three years later.
His code breaking something, or him not understanding a system he’s not involved with doesn’t mean he is obligated to listen to complaints or fix it for free.
Great, but why were no one but the bean-counters consulted when coming out with the blatant money-stealing scheme in the first place?
You have a lot of trust to build back because Godot has come a decently long way.
“Yeah, here, check my /dev/null real quick”
Pokemon Sex is too on the nose and not suitable for all ages, sooo…
Pokemon Mate sounds friendly enough to be marketable as an app.
Congratulations! 1 more country to beat the threshold requirement (after the Netherlands whose threshold seems will be crossed imminently). France and Ireland seem like solid contenders.
I guess part of it is that each platform wants to be specific to the purpose of its own network/platform. Mastodon as a Twitter/Tumblr like microblog site, PixelFed like Instagram, Friendica like Facebook, so on and so forth. Align all terminology to one set of terms I think takes away from the uniqueness of each platform. If you want the truly neutral default cross-Fediverse term, then just use the one from the ActivityPub spec. That pleases every Fediverse platform equally, i.e. not at all.
Users = Actors. Upvote/Favourite/React = Like. Post/Note/Toot/Thread = Object. Happy? Didn’t think so.
When one network interacts on another, the target will do its best to translate your actions into the way it does things. That’s why Link posts from Mastodon appear so wonky in Lemmy, and you can only reply to Mastodon users who posted in a Lemmy community.
Won’t somebody think of the Military Industrial Complex’s profits?
