In the case of “DMs on removal of a post / comment” it is possible to do that with the current api of lemmy. But sadly nothing “official” yet. And it wont come anytime soon as lemmy devs officially announced they wont work at any moderation related topics for a while.
I would prefer if its deleted by creator or mod/admin it should be deleted as soon as possible. To reduce bad/harmful usage of that feature. But i cant stop you do otherwise ;D
There is no implementation for alt text yet on lemmy, how would it handle post purges? / removals?
Sadly then admins and mods will not use it until it has those features as otherwise it would be pain in the *ss to use it and swap around.
it should have good moderation implementation and have its markdown synced with lemmy ( like spoilers etc. ).
It should be easy to block, report.
I like the idea of the offline support. Could be cool if you are able to “download” a post for offline reading or just reading through its comments. <= could be linked with the “favorite” functionality of lemmy.
Thanks for adding another app to the diversity of lemmy.
Ok i implemented it into the bot and it took about 1 hour and 6 minutes to fetch all links and i am now implementing the part where it is inserted into the new text.
Ok i will look into it, thanks i thought it was just the sources not the code.
No, i dont get it from where he would get that idea, because see c/politics mods wanted the bot gone and we removed it no question asked.
@jordanlund@lemmy.world if you really dont want the bot here we can remove the bot and shut the bot down ( please consult other c/world mods too )
By “adding” i mean adding it into the field higher than MBFC ( as i personally think wikipedia is a little bit better for that ).
new:
Wikipedia: Reliability consensus is mixed…l ( whatever the scrapper scrapes ) MBFC: Right-Center - Credibility: High - Factual Reporting: Mostly Factual - United States of America
Search Wikipedia about this source
I would like to implement your code into the bot myself so i can learn how you would do it. If you are willing to share your code, please send me a github link ( or invite me if you want it to be private between you and me ) or if its super simple just send it in the dms.
MBFC API is free as they gave us access for us as a Non Profit.
We already had in mind adding these sources to our bot but we didnt had the time and knowledge how to scrape that. Personally i would like to host it on our own server so that we dont require you to use your own money just for one bot, in what programming language did you write it?
Thanks a lot!

About https://codeberg.org/ArtisanByteCrafter/pytube-gui/issues/7 Would it be ok if i try the playlist integration or do you want to do your things first?
Works pretty good but basic error handling is missing. I made a issue and a PR for it already. My first try at streamlit.
But you can already see the hurdles of large instance like lemmy.world.
The costs are so immense (probably because of some unoptimized code), the software isnt “ripe” enough that it can be left alone for few months and have it run smoothly. It needs permanent monitoring and maintenance. And that doesnt even go into the moderation issues.
Sadly thats fediverse, instance come and go as they like. Because behind them are humans that do this in their freetime ( most of the time out of their own pocket ). Big respect to everyone hosting a federated instance.
Yeah what you are directly talking is some sort of SSO login for each software.
It will need to be cheap af if they have any sales. No Trackpad no back buttons nothing special
It will be difficult to implement and pretty much at the end of the list for the software you want to implement.
Users most of the time dont want to get identified ( some are here because of the privacy ) and if you want to get identified you can just use PGP signing.
thats just some petty stuff
