Prusa slicer, partially because I have a mk3s+ but also because I tried to use cura many times but always several minutes into using it, my entire laptop just shuts off, like the power was pulled, no logs written to disk, no error message. It’s the only program to do that and I can’t even report an issue because there’s no logs I can submit. I assume it’s related to taxing my GPU in a way that causes a power related fault.

Are specials requestable in jellyseerr? They aren’t in overseerr, so they have to be manually requested in sonarr. Also, sonarr uses tvdb and as I understand it, it’s unlikely to ever support tmdb, so if jellyseerr uses tmdb like overseerr does, then that could be another source of confusion if there are differences.

For now if you use sonarr you just have to accept tvdb and set other things to use tvdb where possible (Plex and jellyfin), and accept mismatches where it can’t be changed (like overseerr / possibly jellyseerr too since it’s a fork)

This would be huge, one of the biggest draws to Plex for me is being able to use a single account to watch content across all my friends servers from any Plex UI (be it the hosted one at app.plex.tv or the copy hosted with each Plex server)

That looks like an imax release, maybe the top/bottom black bars are on the Blu-ray it was ripped from to make it fit 16:9? Since it’s a remux they shouldn’t have touched it to remove the bars.

Do you get ads in the subtitles though?

I haven’t used opensubtitles much but have been considering setting up bazarr, using a source that embeds ads in subtitles would be a non starter for me.

I would even be totally willing to pay for increased download limits but not if it means supporting putting ads in the free subtitles.

If you have good home upload and want to host at home, a simple reverse proxy on the vps provider of your choice does the trick. I host for a large group of friends and family and it all proxies through haproxy running on digitalocean.

I’ve been downloading tons of my Spotify music using spotdl and sticking it on Plex, which kinda accomplishes most of what you want. I then organize it with lidarr. Spotdl doesn’t actually download from Spotify but it uses Spotify metadata to tag files after matching with and downloading from YouTube music, it might just use youtube-dl/p under the hood but being able to give it a Spotify playlist, artist, or album url from Spotify makes it super convenient. For some artists I just download the entire artist in one go.

Last time it stopped working for me I just needed to update revanced manager, make sure the patches were updated on the main screen, and re patch the recommended APK version which had increased. They’ve done a pretty good job at keeping up

Oh yeah that’s annoying, I just search for the version on apkpure or apkmirror and usually one of those will have a standard APK I can download and select for patching.

I’m unrooted and I use revanced manager to patch YT and didn’t notice anything about needing root. I use the change package name patch so I can have the official YouTube app installed side by side with the revanced version since Chromecasting only works for me in the official app.

That’s hilarious, assuming they only regulate prebuilts or full kits, all you’d need to do is something like add everything from a voron parts list to your cart to get around it. I wonder if sellers would also be able to offer partial kits to bypass it too (like offering a frame kit, x axis kit, extruder kit, etc and you just add all to cart)

I think the main point of replacing sms with rcs is that it would be the default preinstalled carrier-agnostic-protocol messaging app on everyone’s phones. If signal could be preinstalled and be an open platform instead of using centralized servers then I think that would achieve the same thing. But because it isn’t, it can’t be the lowest common denominator that everyone falls back to if you and someone else don’t have the same messaging app preferences.

Right now, you can say “use signal” all you want, but if you make a friend who isn’t interested in installing a messaging app, you have to fall back to sms. Rcs is just about making a better fallback option that people won’t refuse to download because it’s ubiquitous and supported by even the default preinstalled messaging apps.

I do use jellyfin, I run it side by side with Plex on the same Intel nuc with quick sync - both with the exact same media folders added - and I let my friends choose. I don’t think a single one of them prefer jellyfin unfortunately.

Plex has a reverse proxying service and can do upnp for you so it works with dynamic IPs out of the box with no need for a domain or forwarding ports. It defaults to upnp and falls back to the Plex hosted reverse proxy which also uses a dynamically generated subdomain and gives you a free SSL cert. Granted I prefer to host my own reverse proxy anyway with my own domain (when I had a static IP I just forwarded a port and set up an A record) but out of the box Plex does make it much easier for a non technical user to hit the ground running.

A dht crawler is inherently an intensive service to run, magnetico used sqlite and would take 10 minutes just to load the splash page that includes the total count of discovered torrents.

I just keep a USB c dongle permanently attached to my wired headphones, I forget it’s there. It adds like 1" to the overall cable length. I basically just converted all my wired headphones into USB c headphones.

I do the same in opnsense. According to dnsperfbench, running my own resolver benchmarked as slightly faster or at minimum about the same performance as using any of the big public resolvers. I think the only concern is to make sure you’re not using your local resolver if you’re trying to use a VPN.

That makes sense considering that before this update, posts weren’t searchable so you could only find user profiles, hashtags, and your own (& favorited?) posts. It was basically just a hashtag and user search before.

I can’t help with the 2 options you presented, but if you’re interested in an sfp+ router, I’ve used the DEC2750/DEC750 from OPNsense as a directly fiber connected router for Comcast Gigabit Pro 2Gig fiber for several years. It’s super capable, you’ll have an enormous state table to accommodate tons of P2P connections for torrenting, and you’ll be able to enable loads of plugins, VPN connections, IDS, etc without the CPU breaking a sweat.
