I really loved the “Anchor Man” DVD menu. Solid graphics, great playthrough, simple controls.

Gigastructural Engineering for Stellaris… the megastructures included in the game and DLC are great, but they lack a certain insanity. Plus the mod allows you to terraform any planet (even gas giants).
It’ll be renamed to the “Holy Land of America” on Google maps any day now, so I guess they’ll all get called “Ameristinians” as a catch-all term.
OBVIOUSLY /s
because I do not trust big tech.
Dude, same. I mean, I get that’s why many are here, but it’s just gotten so much worse lately.
Starting to build my first Linux machine to use as my daily driver laptop. Been meaning to get into it all for years, but Microsoft’s constant shenanigans as of late and everyone on Lemmy really pushed me to take the plunge.
It’ll be a “baby’s first project” of a used Thinkpad running on Mint, but it’s a start to getting out from under these corporate fucks. Every step away is a step to which I’m not planning to return.
Yeah, the plan was similar to when Time-Warner acquired Myspace only to not understand what a social media site is inherently; then fumble the bag and sell as fast as possible. They really fucked themselves left right and center on that deal… but everyone’s friend Tom is still a multimillionaire.
Automattic declined to share a time frame as to when the migration would be complete, given its scale, but a rep for the company called the progress so far “exciting.”
Yeah, they’ve been talking about this for years now.
AdamEatsAss is a man of the people. He’s got his finger on the pulse of popular opinion.
He’s still a piece of shit, but he’s not a dummy.
Politicians often are experts at feeling where the wind blows.
All the insane suburban Toronto politicians can be addicted to crack… just a little, as a treat.
One in the same!
You can still buy one! You’re an adult now, treat yourself!
Well, what was Ukraine wearing? Maybe they were asking for it?
Obviously /s
OP got it out of a gachapong machine… that it actually keeps time is already incredible in and of itself.
The guy with the Rolex will just tell you he’s wearing one. That’s how it works.
Bought a Casio Data Bank DBC-32B-1ADF “calculator watch” about three years ago for like $30 USD. I get more compliments on that watch than any other piece of clothing/accessory that I own. Started using it as my daily driver watch and it’s genuinely great, a real conversation starter. If anybody wants one, they’re still in production and can be easily bought new on the big retailers’ sites.
Give Fedilab a try. I’ve been using it for about a year now; it’s been pretty smooth and straight forward.
You can follow Lemmy threads and users on Mastodon right now, but it’s super clunky just from the fact both platforms are so different from each other. Here’s this thread, as seen from my Mastodon account on the Tusky app.
I’ve never used the official app for PixelFed, I’m just on Fedilab for both it and Mastodon… is the PixelFed app worth a look?
Good for them! United we bargain, divided we beg!
Some US states and local school boards are doing this as well. I believe South Carolina has a law like this going into the upcoming term in August. Students will be allowed to bring devices, but they must be stored during class. One school district is using these little pouches with magnetic locks to which the teachers and admin have the key… so students can keep their devices on their person, but would be unable to access them.
Sadly, one of the more relevant (and understandable) arguments against this trend is parents concerns about being about to get in touch with their child in the event of a school shooting. In active shooter events and lockdowns, many school systems and local governments have been slow to inform parents of the situation… this exacerbates concerns where parents (again, understandably) want to be able to get in touch with their child.
Us Americans live in a hell scape of tragedy and senseless death.
