I think it’s the NES for me too. It was my dad’s, and he kept it in good condition. He mostly only had sports games for it though, and Super Mario Bros. I’ve heard the NES came with a combo cart for SMB and Duck Hunt, but we don’t have Duck Hunt and Mario is on its own cartridge. We also don’t have a R.O.B. I have no idea what that says about what time period or in what package combo he might have bought the NES.

Most recently, I got a copy of Super Mario Bros 3 and I’ve been playing through that. I also still like buying new games for it whenever someone like Limited Run publishes them. When I was there last, I bought Alwas Awakening and it sure feels wild to be playing a game on the NES that’s also sold on Steam.

What’s good this time around? In my cart so far I have Until Then, Disco Elysium, and MS Flight Simulator.

Pacific Drive is in there now too.

Definitely not long enough for me to sit on the couch and play in the living room. I had to get a bluetooth adapter for that.

It’s totally possible to do without the suite! With my free Gmail account and my domain registered through cloudflare, I have a custom email address for just the cost of the domain. I have the custom email set as an alias in Gmail, and Cloudflare does routing.

Did HL2 come with the account or did you just buy an empty pre-made Steam profile?

You bought someone else’s Steam account because you didn’t want to make your own? As a form of protest?

Yeah that’s quite the letdown. I’ve been hoping to upgrade my VR headset from a Quest 2 and I was looking forward to this so I could get away from Meta, but those features were a big part of the appeal of the PS VR2. I don’t own a PS5, so buying a headset that should be able to do all these things but can’t would kinda sting. It seems this was intended as more of a bonus for existing PS VR2 owners rather than an attempt to drive sales to PC-only players. I hope those features do make their way to PC eventually, because HDR on the OLED screen would make this an amazing PC VR headset and I really wanted that. I’m going to have to pass on this headset for now though.

Transferring was straightforward enough, but there were a couple steps that involved waiting for things to update before you could continue and I forgot to get back to it for a while after they were done. Other than that, all my records seem to have transferred over correctly and all I had to do manually was reconfigure my DDNS client and set up email forwarding with gmail again.
