You’re thinking of hubs, not switches. Back in the 90’s everything was on hubs and every packet was broadcast to everything on the hub. Switches only send packets where they are going downstream. Also everything and its mom is TLS encrypted these days.
Almost certainly. For pirating games you’re really playing with fire unless you’re torrenting using a source that’s well established and trusted directly from their official account, like FitGirl
No, I just try not to leave things for AI to train on indefinitely for no reason. Nobody ever engages with month old comments, so I figure why not clear them out.
In my experience, Youtube is pretty on their VPN exit node blocking game (but it definitely times out, if you wait a month, you may well see one work again for a while). If you want to VPN youtube, you’re best off using a provider with a LOT of exit nodes that come and go.
I’ve never tried Mulvad, but Proton, while it has LOTS of exit nodes, which is good for avoiding blocks, is quite bad at any individual node remaining up and recovering automatically on an outage. If your use case is actively connecting for watching youtube or netflix or whatever in another country on a laptop that’s mostly off or not VPNed and you don’t care, that’s great, but if you want to VPN for bittorrent or another always connected purpose from a server or VPS…
Are you a bot, or just trolling or what?
Not with their private persona… I am saying they should maintain a normie persona that is spied on and use that for having a public persona for professional purposes that is completely separated via a separate device/duapboot from a private persona they primarily use and observe best practices with
If your “private” persona is uploading government IDs, you’re doing it wrong.
If you want/need to have a prominent public professional presence, and you probably do at least during the current bout of “we don’t need western born devs anymore” the industry is going through, you probably need to bifurcate a patsy persona that plays by the invasive corporate internet rules for public observation and a private persona that is private and does not and just never mix the streams (two phones, dualboot, etc)
I’d argue it has more to do with the DNC twice running a geriatric genocidal monster completely controlled by an evil foreign state with no interest in actually governing domestically sans a real primary process. Once your argument is “I’m the lesser evil!” while committing genocide as everyone’s standard of living declines, you can’t blame people for giving ANY alternative a try.
I think the main advantage is that if a state actor wants to Pegasus you, they can always get into a normal iOS/Android device until the next reboot. It’s not feasible, even with the resources of the Israeli state that Pegasus can support ALL models of random dumbphone that has ever existed, so there is a fair chance that while the security may not be modern on an old Nokia, they would need to burn 1000 development hours to deploy bugging malware into it that already “just works” with iOS and Android.
I really hope Kier Starmer gets some kind of terrible, degenerative disease. Few deserve it as much as him. Fucking fascist scumbag…
If you live in a 100% ATSC 3.0 area in the US, no normal TV can decode the signal and you need to buy a $200 always online GoogleTV device that spies on you, and it still won’t reliably work. There’s a github of IPTV channels in playlists that’s updated frequently and has most cable channels available from US IPs with probably 70+% uptime.
It’s a good private way to keep track of what you’ve watched and what’s available on its own though, even if you need to use another client to watch.

ProtonPass is probably the least untrustworthy normie solution in 2025…
