I often realise as I’ve written it that I may be doxxing myself (sharing an anecdote about my past etc) so often that’s my reason to delete. It’s pretty paranoid but I do value my anonymity here.

I don’t have a degree. Started one back in the late '00s but didn’t complete it cos life got in the way.

Successful career in related industry but occasionally I’ll go for a job only to see it has higher ed quals as mandatory. I think I’ll lie next time if there’s something I really want to go for and know I can do.

I’m old enough that even if I had completed the course, it was all paperbased paperwork - no one’s tracking the truth down and no one really cares. Of all the recruitment I’ve done, I’ve never cared about anyone’s degrees. Hell, half the technologies and methodologies I work with didn’t even exist when I was at uni. So who gives a shit even if I did have the degree.

That component I don’t have an issue with at all, actually. But providing government sanctioned ai porn? Unlikely

I think this idea rests on the false premise that people both need and have a right to pornography.

Many adults go about their lives without accessing it/getting off on it. It’s not a human need like food or shelter. So government isn’t going to become a supplier. Parallels could be made, I suppose, with safe injecting rooms and methadone clinics etc - but that’s a medical/health service that protects both the individual and the community. I don’t think the same argument could be made for a government sponsored porn bank.

Mm dunno if you ever read the qanon casualties posts on Reddit. There’s no discussing or reasoning with the people who have fallen prey to believing this shit. And if often leads to financial ruin. Blocking access to those sites is, for many, like taking the car keys away from an elderly parent who will only hurt themselves and others if you don’t intervene.

Thanks for the suggestion but this seems a cumbersome alternative. My work is in the digital space and note taking needs to be there in a fairly rapid and shareable way. I’m seeking an improvement to my onenote use (handy but not handwritten), and my scores of paper notes (handwritten but handy to no one else), plus the ability to handwrite creative pieces and not have to type them up online.
