Yup for sure
Yup for sure
In a city I lived in the built a speed skating ring in the middle of the city for some national winter games and it’s used as a free skating oval in the winter and running track when it’s warm. That scale of infrastructure seems ok and it’s much beloved by the people. However, that’s so different from a massive stadium.
This was true of NFL stadiums for US cities last I checked, which was several years ago. In general this stuff looks like a prestige project that rarely produces enough residual benefit to the hosting city to make it worthwhile.
Do you trust the government?
The people down voting you should try not paying taxes for a while and we’ll see how that goes for them.
Sadly true and most people aren’t wired to see it. The difference, in my mind, is the degree to which this is politely hidden. I do pay tax willing and recognize the value of government versus anarchy but this is true on a fundamental level.
Edmonton says hi. :)
You aren’t dealing with a government (although they also let nothing like this go), it’s organized crime on a grand scale.
Might have been sealed up airtight and they said it was smoked fish or something. Still, to have maggots, it’s almost impossible that it didn’t come through unless vacuum sealed. Yeah, that’s how I should, I mean they could have done it.
I was stuck on a runway in very humid weather. They finally turned the AC on after a couple hours and we started to get condensation dripping on us from the, I’m guessing, never cleaned ceiling.
And that’s why I always fly in a thin hoodie now.
I am guessing most people are growing produce and keeping chickens etc if they can. Not see easy if you live in a massive, brutalist apartment block. Probably better eating in the country but more risk of freezing in the winter. All in all, I think I’ll put off my plan to relocate there.
They probably give you enough to not totally starve quickly but any luxury like maybe fresh food or say a favorite tea would mean finding some way to pay. Just guessing.

It should be as mainstream as a lock on your front door or presenting ID when warranted (and as easy).
Lol :)
Maybe if people hadn’t made fun of me wanting to use pgp for all communications in the late 90s we could have avoided this. The fact that everything we do isn’t subject to digital signature verification is nuts.
S-mart sells replica gauntlets just like this.
The “Russia has more freedom than the US” narrative is almost as confusing to me as the idea that Trump is someone you want to represent you. I know people think this but I just can’t understand how they also are able yo navigate the day to day requirements of life.
Like, how do they determine what food to eat? Nothing but Pizza Pops eaten thawed but cold? How do they survive?
Wouldn’t snowbirds just load up before leaving our socialist paradise for the winter?
I have a hunch it’s them telling all their Bridge partners about how they access medication that contributed to popular support for this. :)
It will be nice when Trump has Lavrov over, only allows Russian journalists to cover the meeting, and reveals a bunch of classified info. True patriots want that. Right?
