It’s been amazing for me. It actually helped me slash through a bunch of my backlog. Games I’ve finished on deck: Aperture Desk Job, Axiom Verge 1&2, Braid, Bro Force, Darq, Deaths Door, Eternal Hope, Guacamelee 2, Inside, Journey, Limbo, Ori 1&2, Portal 1&2, Shady Part of Me, Stanley Parable, Stella, Stray, Trine 1,2,3&4, Unbound (Worlds Apart), Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves (so 4 & Lost Legacy), Vesper, and Yooka-Laylee. Currently playing Hollow Knight. Performance has been great, even played Sea of Thieves with friends online and it was solid. I go through periods where I don’t play much but with the deck it seems easier to just fire something up and dive in. Especially because of quick resume.

I believe they are referred to as PWA or progressive web app. I’m using Voyager ( formerly wefwef) right now and it’s a pretty solid experience. Been bouncing back and forth between this and Memmy since day one. Voyager is my favorite because it feels like Apollo.

Thank you for clearing that up. I feel like I’ve heard both yes and no to this question. Still learning everything so it’s hard to recall what was correct. Also just want to say how cool it is that people don’t make you feel dumb for being wrong here. That’s one thing I will not miss about Reddit.

My understanding is that we cannot. I’ve seen people talking about it maybe becoming a thing in the future, but right now the only option is to just go register your name on another instance. Alternatively, I guess you can host your own instance with just you (or a few friends I guess) and then you control what gets federated, but for me that seems like a little too much work right now. I may consider that in the future if I had more free time.

I would prefer that we all de-federate from any corporations. If they are federated they will certainly be slurping up EVERYTHING they can touch, whether or not it’s on their instance. As far as the 30m users, I’m pretty sure anyone with an Instagram account automatically has a threads account so the numbers are inflated from the amount of people actually using it.

Edit: I was wrong about the Instagram=Threads account thing. I still don’t believe those numbers though.
