And they’ll also take an insane amount of local water supplies to fight nature and make a profit.

I get that they’re successful, and it’d be fantastic if this became the trend. But Battlefield and Call of Duty sell consistently with much less development effort and a lot lower risk of flopping.
It looks like Call of Duty is typically 3 year development cycles, and one took only 1.5 years. Baldur’s Gate took 6 years.
With the joy of high deductible health plans you can pay thousands of dollars in network, because they can get away with it.
The focus issues are actually over-exposure issues that then lead to focus issues.
This is how I know I’m in an information bubble. I never hear anyone mention Joe Rogan in real life, but apparently he’s hugely popular? It’s crazy to me too.
I prefer to flip the PSU switch to the wrong position. Because there’s no other point in time when I ever use that switch.
At the risk of sounding like a conspiracy theorist, that’s why I’ve been curious.
I’m pretty confident we wouldn’t show our hand on that defense strategy, but there’s no way there’s not a plan for it. It’s obviously better for everyone to avoid a need for that strategy in case it doesn’t work perfectly.
I’ve legitimately been curious about this. The nuclear arms race has been a threat for so long, do western countries really not have a mitigation strategy for them?
I assume we could shoot down any intercontinental weapons, and any airplane that entered allied airspace would immediately be shot down before it could drop a nuke.
The noise is supposed to help with their separation anxiety.
I haven’t researched if there’s scientific studies backing it, but that’s the reason.

Sure you can alter circumstances to an extent and that’s probably the best way to live life. But all the good in the world doesn’t stop a freak car crash killing you or being struck by lightning. And while being struck by lightning is used synonymously with an act of god, I don’t think it actually means you deserved it. That’s the issue with the just-cause fallacy. It takes a huge spoonful of selection bias to only notice the people who did deserve it.
In my opinion the idea of karma is a convenient crowd control mechanism to prevent people from taking action to fix their situation when they have faith that the universe will magically balance itself out.
A blanket statement about “true guilt” gives a whole lot more credibility to the veracity of the government’s legislation than I’m willing to give them.
You’re implying that lawmakers have never been wrong.
Damn, one grammatical correction is all that’s keeping us from the frogs.
I never understood the terrible grammar of this meme.
“It is with great pleasure that I tell you” is the correct statement.
I’ve never once consented to anything reality has done to me.
If 45,000 are left in Ukraine and Ukraine is approximately 400 miles wide, that’s still 112 Russian troops per linear mile to push west.
Obviously they aren’t spaced in one line across the country like that, but it gives some perspective on how many are left and how much space they could fill.

I guess I avoided the worst games this year!
Did Remnant 2 feel more unique than Remnant 1? I tried the 1st and fell off in the 2nd world because it all felt too similar with a handful of enemies and procedural chunks. Reluctant to try the 2nd if it’s got the same lack of variety.
What did you not like about Returnal? I haven’t looked into it much beyond the trailer, but was considering trying it out.
Not to brag, but my mom let me have her old palm pilot from work.
Guess I was pretty cool when I peaked 20 years ago.
