I don’t remember which, but on one of my flights, we were distributed eye masks with different colors on each side. If you were wearing the red color on the outside, it meant that you wanted to be left alone. Smart and yey, free eye mask!

This is gold advice. Thank you.
I will give it a try. Thanks for sharing
Oooh I agree, this is some actual dirt
Brave’s marketing has always made me uneasy, but it was more like a vague thought. This why I’m intrigued by your opinion. Do you have examples of their “problematic” management?
Self-hoster of a searxNG here. With docker, your can spin your own in 1 minute top. I’ll never go back to any other search engine, this is the best (imho).
This is why I said it should never be done outside of a VM or sandbox. But you are right, this is playing with fire haha.
Do you have a virtual machine, or a filesystem that you could mess with?
A good project idea would be to manipulate files on your system. Sort them, duplicate them, add programmatically one line to their content. The possibilities are plenty and you can see the result of your code.
Besides that, look for tutorial repositories on Github (or codeberg.org).
Last but not least, VSCode is my personal favorite, but you could check out PyCharm for beginning, as it has more features out of the box.
From what I read in the article, layoffs were higher in the non-techy departments of these tech companies.
Departments like marketing, and HR, that have a higher demographics of women, as stated in this article.
I don’t think the article is fair to say that it drags us back many years regarding efforts in equity, when said efforts were targeted towards tech and engineering departments.
Depending on your timezone, it is possibly a peak in traffic from the US, an overlap of July 4th, Reddit userbase jumping in, and the recent surge on shitposting about…sigh… beans.
Stellar castle is a cool ass name
I would assume so as it makes sense technically, but you ought to double check
Sorry to hear that. But the whole thing is hilarious
Random thoughts here:
I am in control of the backup of my data.
I don’t have to worry about an instance going off, or a radical change of policy.
I can choose whatever pseudonym I want.
I participate in the decentralization of the network, which feels good after the fiasco of monolithic Reddit.
(Edit) I am also in charge of its content and its user base.
I tried installing an instance on Docker a few months ago, and it didn’t work. Last month version was far easier to install imo
I see you 👀
Thank you, that was a very informative read.
I’ll wait and see how this topic unravels in the future. Wishing the devs will state more firmly their position.
Just google it.
