Type 1 diabetes requires you to watch your insulin levels constantly or DIE. I’d say that’s more than an “inconvenience”.
Paleontologist Barbie is pretty cool.

Die in prison, shitbag
The Metropolitan Police said that a 39-year-old man is wanted by them for breaching restrictions placed on his activities, and is also separately being investigated for “any possible” fraud offences.
What’s the point of including this paragraph, when the story doesn’t include a name or photo? It’s completely useless.
Under other circumstances I’d be willing to accept the “mercy killing” argument, but burning someone alive is NOT mercy. This woman needs help.
Woah. A pledge from a CEO. There’s no way this is meaningless PR bullshit. We better take it seriously.
I like that they still insist on using the name Twitter. It makes me sad when a media outlet gives up and starts calling it X.
Going with something like “X (formerly Twitter)” seems like a reasonable compromise.
I’d be the clueless guy in the room. “I’m not familiar with that unit of measurement.”
Maybe I’m remembering wrong, but hasn’t the U.S. gone to war without congressional approval a bunch of times?
Were they in the US on leave?
Gotta spread that blowback around
I’ve only seen a handful of articles from these folks, but they seem pretty thoughtful. This one is no exception. My favorite part:
Given the number of variables, however, much will depend on the wisdom and restraint of Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khameini, and the people around them. And that does not bode well in the short or long term.
This is the closest I’ve ever seen them get to humor, but it works.
Did this pic make anyone else think of Robotech? I half expect a Zentradi to climb out of that cockpit.
From The Middle East Eye:
It [the Samson Option] is in stark contrast, say analysts, to the doctrine of Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD), where if one nuclear power pre-emptively attacked another, then the targeted nation would still have time to retaliate, ensuring neither would survive.
I must be missing something important. I don’t understand why the Samson Option is “in stark contrast” to MAD. I mean, everyone still dies, so they seem pretty similar to me.
My upvote is contingent on the fact that I read this as sarcasm
My concern is that if the Fediverse becomes big enough to truly threaten commercial options, corporations will find a way to destroy it - through lawsuits, malware, or using their political leverage to encourage overly restrictive laws.
