To this day, I love to suggest my tech friend switch to Lindows as a joke. Still kills if they get it, otherwise I have to explain “so it’s this old Linux distribution…”

Honestly: I cannot have the Instagram app on my phone (both for privacy and for addiction) - I have it installed on Waydroid and the fact that it works like 50% of the way keeps me from using it more than a couple times a week.

I love the idea! If there was good support from something like GrapheneOS or /e/OS I would be looking at one of these.

Second this. My only complaint is that I couldn’t get it to work on /e/ OS. But if you’re using regular android you’ll be alright. (couldn’t get it to work because it couldn’t verify my subscription, fwiw)

That was my exact thought as well, yes! And I’m 100% certain it’s not the only other very high COL city in the top 10 (Toronto, Zurich, Geneva all come to mind immediately).
