The animals know there is a weird device there, they just sniff at it and keep going. Humans would probably investigate weird out of place things, especially in cities and more dense areas.

I think there’s a useful discussion for why these technologies can be effective at getting people to connect with them emotionally, but they themselves don’t experience emotions any more than a fictional character in a book experiences emotion.
Our mental model of them can, but the physical representation is just words. In the book I’m reading there was a brutal torture scene. I felt bad for the character, but if there was an actual being experiencing that kind of torment, making and reading the book would be horrendously unethical.
I have a preconceived conclusion about my anthropomorphized view of a statistical model with some heuristics around it. People who know what they’re talking about say I’m wrong, but I need an idea for an article to write that people will read.
Yep that sounds like a flying object that no one identified.
So Trump is not acting based on goals he has for the US, he is acting on goals for the global oligarchy, doesn’t matter if you’re a Canadian or US billionaire he wants you to be able to continue exploiting.
If putting Canada under the jurisdiction of a more compliant country like the US makes that easier great, if instead the conservative parties in Canada can be propped up great. You have plenty of MAGAs in Canada, They’re not just in the US, so we all could do some house cleaning. The US is just the cautionary tale.
I don’t think he actually cares about Canada specifically. The point is to alienate the US from its allies and reduce any kind of powerful diplomatic mediators or military deterrents so Russia and similar traditionally colonial powers can just start seizing whatever territory they want.
If they mean AI upscaling, where you take a low resolution image then generate a higher resolution one then sure.
But it will be a while before they have full AI rendering, if ever. AI generation isn’t super precise when it comes to details and for games precision usually matters a lot unless it’s like a narrative game. You probably can’t use an arbitrary but close color for an enemy for example or have health bars look close enough.
Sometimes the fix is to turn it off, take it out back and beat it with a stick.
Nah, not enough flannel.
The Russian oligarchs clearly thought it promoted a desire within them for some kind of relations.
Yeah, depends on the tea too. I have some teas that are done after 3-4 steeps, and some that just never end.
At some point you need to admit you’re just drinking brown water and not tea anymore.
For when you actually want 10 tiny cups of tea.
Do you not add gelatin to your water before making tea?
So give it a quick stir? Also if it’s at a boil, the bubbles are going to mix the fluid well.
Remember kids, there’s always money in the banana stand.
So, it seems like the secret was the opposition parties actually campaigning on doing things the voters liked and addressing their concerns instead of belittling them. I agree, I think US politicians should also try actually appealing to disaffected voters to get them to vote against tyranny instead of lecturing them.
They were firing at military targets because Israel assassinated one of their generals. If Israel wants to start a war with Iran while they have their hands full with Gaza and Lebanon that’s their perogative but the US shouldn’t be enabling this insanity.
This person was actually convicted of trafficking opioids in an actual court in 2022, so it’s not a random Canadian plucked off the street.
That being said prisoners do still deserve basic human rights like healthcare and with people being arrested without due process now, just coming to the US shouldn’t mean risking your life.
