I think there’s a useful discussion for why these technologies can be effective at getting people to connect with them emotionally, but they themselves don’t experience emotions any more than a fictional character in a book experiences emotion.

I don’t think he actually cares about Canada specifically. The point is to alienate the US from its allies and reduce any kind of powerful diplomatic mediators or military deterrents so Russia and similar traditionally colonial powers can just start seizing whatever territory they want.

If they mean AI upscaling, where you take a low resolution image then generate a higher resolution one then sure.

So, it seems like the secret was the opposition parties actually campaigning on doing things the voters liked and addressing their concerns instead of belittling them.
