I used Ubuntu happily for many years and found nothing that suited me better.

However, with them pushing more and more updates in my face that I can only install if I register an account, I will try to switch to Endeavour on my main system soon.

I don’t understand. I think bad things (e.g. cancer) can happen to everyone (e.g. small childrens/babies, selfless people…). Is your argument that no one is really good?

Are there examples for a games that wouldn’t exist without subscription services?

Small games can sell for smaller money and get successful without subscriptions, too (like Vampire Survivors, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice and many more).

I don’t think subscription services will pay good money to small productions. I mean look at Spotify’s or Twitch’ payouts. Only the big dogs get fed and the smaller ones have no choice.

In an attempt to cheer you up: most of us are useless bums, some are just getting paid more, due to lucky circumstances. You are not worth less than the rest of us goofballs.
Also, you have access to the biggest library in human history (internet) and things could be way worse. If this was 1824, I probably would be very happy, if I could live the life I’m living now. :)
